I have used countless strimmers over the years and this is by far the best to date. It is well made and very easy to use. Not too heavy and it can tackle even the longest grass and the toughest weeds ! It arrives with just the handle and guard to fix which takes just a few minutes to sort out. This strimmer is also great at edging lawns. The strimmer line is a breeze to fix on the strimmer, just remove the empty spool and the new strimmer line takes literally seconds to fix into place. I use this strimmer to maintain a small field and it manages the job perfectly. Just take my advice and always wear gloves if you have a lot of strimming to do, as it avoids those nasty blisters on your hands ! Excellent value for a great strimmer.

This is quite a powerful strimmer compared to my previous B&D , which was still working after 16 years.Uses up the nylon spool fairly quickly however hence the need to buy refills or a large backup and DIY.

A good quality strimmer that is powerful for its size and does long "haircuts" without fuss. Very good value and don't be put off by it only having one cutter instead of two, it's fast enough to make little or no difference.

Great bit of kit.

Tackled my lawn for the first time this year, also my first use of the new B&D strimmer.I have been mowing the same lawns for more than five decades, giving my age away here.I reckon that this is at least the fifth strimmer that I have used over this time, so I can speak with some degree of experience.The first thing that I noticed was the weight of this machine, this was the heaviest that I have used. I soon noticed the second negative point. The cable fitted was shorter by quite a few meters than any of the others used previously, quite disappointing as for the first time I was obliged to use an extension cable.B&D are scrimping here.I then used it for edging the lawn as suggested. This was another minus for me, I found it extremely difficult to use for this purpose. In my humble opinion it could be regarded as a gimmick and not practical due in part to its weight and awkwardness in handling.On a more positive note, it was more powerful than any of my previous machines and did the task required as a strimmer successfully.In summing up, I would recommend this machine to a much younger and stronger person than myself. Not for an old timer like me!

My 30 year history and relationship with electric strimmers has been somewhat chaotic! 😂 Many battles have been lost in the garden, normally ending with myself entwined in strimmer twine.However, I bought one of these around 8 years ago and it finally gave up on me last week, the motor wasn’t working after being stored in the garage through a damp winter.Spent some time looking at various replacements but wasn’t overly confident getting a different brand, particularly as I’ve still several spare spools of twine in the garage.I finally found the same make of strimmer so opted to make a repeat purchase. If I get another few years out of it again I’ll be happy. Really simple to put together and was using it within 10mins of delivery. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Purchased in 2020 so now in my 4th season with this strimmer. I like a wild garden so I don't strim until the wild flowers and grasses have finished and seeded (the bees let me know when). This means that I am cutting back foliage that is often knee-high. The auto-line feed system is brilliant and I buy the pre wound spools as I don't have much luck winding them with bulk line. More than satisfied with the purchase.
