I never usually make reviews but I am so chuffed with this I had to.I have tried to start crocheting several times and always gave up, until these. This kit is amazing and I was able to complete all three animals and have learned as I went too.The videos are insanely useful and take you through each step slowly which is great for beginners. I really enjoyed how they didn’t assume you knew anything and showed each step several times too.The yarn as well is great! It doesn’t fray like normal yarn so it is great for beginners (I have moved on to normal yarn after these and I am finding it much trickier).So happy with the product, definitely will be purchasing some of the other kits too!As well it is a much more affordable option if you’re looking to get into crocheting. 100% recommend!

Very good for beginners! Although when the circle starts becoming more round, the way she holds it is by being able to see the inside of it, some point after a stage the way changes and you are no longer able to see the centre but the outside body and couldn't fix it so I'd have it the way she did. This will affected the decrease method, since instead of going through the front V I had to do it via the back V. I also lost count and was unable to fix it so the numbers were not the same. It still came up nicely.

Yarn is easy to use and the videos are quite easy to follow

I purchased this crochet kit for my son who is very enthusiastic about learning crochet. The items look nice and well packaged, except that, despite other customers saying they have received printed instructions, ours came with no instructions at all, making this gift useless as I also don’t do crochet and can’t help my son. I truly recommend not purchasing this and will return mine. I spent hours in the internet trying to find instructions, but they are not available, and the ones available from other brands are only accessed by using a QR code provided when you purchase the product.

As someone trying crochet for the first time, this taught me all the basics. The kit came with everything I needed and more. It also came with a link and QR code to scan to view the tutorial videos and follow along, and the explanations were very beginner friendly. Great intro to crochet!

Beginners absolutely love this kit.

I've never done crochet before, but these axoltls looked so cute, I had to give it a go! The kit contains everything I assume a beginner would need except instructions - these can apparently be found online. I watched the first video showing how to hold the yarn and hook, but have not been able to find the axolotl instructions anywhere. The QR code included with the kit only has instructions to make a penguin and a dinosaur, and despite searching the website, YouTube and Google, I have been unable to find a pattern for the axolotls. As a complete beginner, I would prefer to have paper instructions to refer to in addition to the videos, but to have completely the wrong instructions anyway is very disappointing. I suppose I shall still give it a go at some point - assuming the stuff I have is suitable for the penguin/dinosaur. It's a shame, because it does seem like a great kit otherwise.

Easy to use QR code instructions. Comes with everything needed. Nice little kit for beginners. Anyone can learn this way.

This kit was a gift for my 9 y.o. son. He loves crafting and I decided to teach him how to crochet. Well, as I’m also a beginner I needed something simple. So when I came across this kit at Amazon I got very interested! It has everything you need to get a perfect result at the end. And you know how kids love good result. The yarn is beautiful! Accessories are lovely! hook is nice. I took a glimpse at the instructions. The instructions look easy to follow. So I plan to have mom and son time this weekend and master this technique with him. Totally recommend this kit!

I'm pretty proud of how my little chick came turned out! I love that it came with videos because that seems to be the only way I can crochet in these early days of learning. Though the English isn't perfect in the videos (whose is these days anyways?), it was still relatively easy to follow. I paused plenty when I needed to catch up, which makes the videos super helpful!The set comes with the easy-to-work-with beginner yarn, which is superior to some of the other sets on Amazon when you are new to crochet.

As a beginner crocheter, I really liked this kit to practice my skills and as a quick project I can give as gifts in the future. To find the instructions, all I had to do was go to the website and they have a few ways of explaining each step as well as a video. One thing I didn't notice the guide mentioning was tension and how there is no gauge switch to see if I am making mine too big or too small. I think mine came out a little smaller than I was expecting because I naturally have tighter tension when I crochet. Another thing that would be helpful for beginners is knowing when to add and move the stitch markers but with practice, it was easy to get the hang of and fun to use.There's enough materials for two keychains and I thought the materials were rather nice. The yarn is the kind that doesn't lint and tangle to itself. It's more of the netting type yarn which makes for a very nice clean finish to my project.I think these make for great gifts, party favors or a fun little travel project for the plane or car trip. I keep mine in my bag to work on when I'm waiting for a doctor's appointment or kids sports game, etc. Overall, decent kit and happy with the results.
