Just a gorgeous tarot deck with amazing illustrations . The guidebook is the best one I came across so far. Another must have tarot deck. A good bargain for this masterpiece :-) It is a RWS themed tarot deck. I find this Old style tarot deck more pleasing and approachable than the original RWS deck. Both decks are great decks. Old style tarots just gives me more of an easy subtle artistic vibes. I just find it soothing reading this deck with nice quality card stock and cool card back patterns. I also like the extra blank card included for special meanings explained in the guidebook as well.. The sturdy storage box is fantastic :-) 5 stars here :-)

I adore this deck. Old Style Tarot by Alexander Ray is hands-down my favorite tarot deck, and I am not pretending to be neutral about it. The art is bold, quirky, and full of personality—like medieval woodcuts met modern sarcasm and decided to tell your future. Every card feels intentional, expressive, and slightly cheeky, which somehow makes readings clearer and more honest. This deck doesn’t sugarcoat, but it also doesn’t scream at you. It just knows. Now let’s talk card stock, because WOW. This is amazing card stock—thick, sturdy, and satisfying in a way that makes shuffling feel elite. These cards feel like they could survive being tossed into a backpack, spilled coffee nearby, or an emotionally intense reading session. Built. To. Last. It reads beautifully, works for everything from daily pulls to full spreads, and somehow manages to be both funny and deeply insightful. My other decks are great, but this one is the one I reach for without thinking. Five stars. Would rebuy in a heartbeat. If this deck ever goes out of print, I will riot (politely, but firmly).

I own about 10 or 15 tarot decks, but these really grabbed my attention and I feel very connected to them. There is a familiarity about them that I can't really explain. The artwork is beautiful. The card stock is high quality (great for riffle shuffling); quite stiff with a slight give. The shape is very unique; slightly wider than the average tarot deck. The whole antique aesthetic of them is my favorite thing. I really enjoy using them.

I just finished my first reading with this deck. Incredibly storytelling, beautiful and clear design, easy to handle, very good quality. I love it!

This deck is just so out of this world beautiful. He did the Old style lenormand and another and said with the Tarot deck he where he is a psychologist that he wanted to use pictures from books he has seen but make them his own. There are great medieval and biblical in my opinion but there is the blank card everyone thinks is the "querent" card and you use it as the person in reading. You can do it this way but.. in the book it's like the blank Odin rune in the furthark runes. It is blank but could be many reasons: it's too soon to say, or you aren't supposed to know just yet, the other cards said what you needed to know. But go to the blank card page and read it. Another plus to this great deck is that h Instead of just quick upright and reversal meanings, he also included advice from card, "the warning," after reversal meaning for advice to get out of reverse situation, and "quick answer." These help alot with beginners or just goes more in depth with card meaning. Notes pages in the back. Please give this a try you will not regret this. I am very picky with my tarot decks so if I say "yes" it means a lot.

I have struggled to find the right deck for me. The usual 'standards' just didn't seem intuitive or insightful. This one does. I love it. The artwork is beautiful and the images are close enough to the RWs to still use a guidebook if you wish, but they are much more intuitive and I find them much easier to read. This is a wonderful 'working deck' and has made the tarot less intimidating and more enjoyable and insightful for me, and my readings seem much more accurate. My other decks have stayed in the drawer since this one came into my life.

The deck is beautiful and feels good in the hand. But…it refuses to read on most of my personal questions. The blank card comes out first astonishingly often! I don’t think it likes me ;)

This deck is beautiful. The artwork is incredible, offering gorgeous vintage illustrations for every card. The cardstock is great. The book that comes with the deck is a big step up from the typical "little white book" that can be found with many decks. The deck comes in a nice box for storage. This is probably one of the best looking and feeling decks I have ever come across.

Das Old Style Tarot steht fest in der Tradition des Rider-Waite-Tarots aus dem Jahr 1909. D. h., die Karten 8 / Gerechtigkeit und 11 / Stärke sind vertauscht, das Kleine Arcanum in Anlehnung an das Vorbild bebildert. Sei's drum ... Der Kartensatz ist exzellent editiert: Die Papierqualität ist hervorragend, das - etwas größer als übliche - Format der Karten kommt mir bestens entgegen. Die Karten werden in einer stabilen Schachtel und mit einem Büchlein geliefert, das ganz besonders zu loben ist. Obwohl leider, aber verständlicherweise, nur auf englisch, umfasst es immerhin 104 bebilderte Seiten. Das ist wesentlich mehr als die üblichen kleinen Booklets. Ich wünschte, nehr Tarotsätze wären so liebevoll editiert. Das Artwork der Karten vermittelt durch die hellbraume Texturierung und den Zeichenstil einen "alten" Eindruck, gleichwohl die Symbolik deutlich zu erkennen bleibt. Damit ist dieser Tarot ist für Einsteiger jederzeit zu empfehlen und sollte in keiner Sammlung fehlen. Die Farben indes könnten für meinen Geschmack etwas kräftiger sein, aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau. Und über Geschmack lässt sich bekannetlich sowieso nicht streiten. In Summe bin ich begeistert. Ich liebe diese Karten!

Las cartas son agradables a la vista, pensé que los colores serían un poco pálidos pero encontré que no! La verdad es que se ven incluso mejor que en las fotos. El arte también es precioso y el material es bastante adecuado. Lo recomiendo!

This is my third tarot deck, and I fell in love with it the moment I opened it! The artwork is absolutely stunning, and the guidebook is incredibly beginner-friendly, making it easy to dive right in. The cards are a perfect size in my hands – not too large – and the quality is impressive, with a nice, durable feel that doesn’t come across as cheap. A beautiful and well-crafted addition to any collection!

Com certeza é um dos decks mais lindos que já vi! As ilustrações são lindas e muito bem impressas no papel, as cartas são grandes quando comparadas com baralhos que não são originais, apresentam uma boa gramatura e deslizam bem ao embaralhar. O livro é bem simples e não é traduzido para o português e a caixa tem uma ótima qualidade. Acredito que seja uma boa opção de deck para aquelas pessoas que fazem leituras mais intuitivas.
