On time and in good condition
This item has already been a lifesaver. MY dad is 163 pounds and I have had to assist him three times in one month as he is non compliant with his walker. Smooth operation and rolls very easy on low pile carpet. Range of travel on the hydraulic ram is more than enough to reach the floor and lower him onto a fairly high bed. Very good purchase!

Easy to assemble
All the welds are good. I didn't like the the 3 1/2 in. wheels and replaced them with 3 inch wheels with bearings. Otherwise all good.

NO SLING
Hoyer is top of the line. That is why I ordered this item for my newly paralyzed elderly neighbor here in the Rep of Panama . Helpers who are not medical people are lifting him. It's dangerous. I am unhappy that the sling advertised was not provided. The lift ? Excellent. Item price was not what I was charged ( which was more) . No vendor response. UPDATE: I finally connected with the vendor ( not easy) BUT they were accommodating. I am pleased that the "free sling" portion of this ad was removed. Amazon was as well most helpful .

No sling provided.
Sling is not provided as advertised. Be prepared to buy your own. You will get no money back if they ship without it.

issues I've encountered
this unit doesn't perform well if patient is in a large lift chair . When in open position, it is still not wide or deep enough to get lifting eye close to the patient's chest. also, Too much physical work for the operator to manipulate the patient and try to operate the manual control valve on the cylinder at the same time.lifting harnesses (i have three) do not work well from large chair to commode. all the harnesses have tendency to lay the patient back too far. even when you try the different positions on the harness straps. If you are going from sitting to laying down it's okay. From laying to sitting is a different story for patient comfort and positioning. feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
