Great Stuff! Excellent replacement for discontinued Aveda Black Malva conditioner
I'd been searching like crazy for an Aveda Black Malva Conditioner replacement since it's been discontinued for some time and I finally ran out. Even called Aveda to find out the Why- silly response was it wasn't selling well enough. So, Aveda, what do all your customers who have dark brown or black hair use Now in place of this Conditioner. Evidently nothing of yours, and you get 2 strikes against you for being so lame...Enter Pure Blends Orchid Brown to Black conditioner- 1st application showed this did the same job that Aveda Black Malva did, maybe even a bit better. No lingering smell, no stiff hair, dropped in just enough dark color to make the warm brown-black darker again ( I have medium short hair). I even applied it onto my brows, 'stache and goat for the same 2 minutes in the shower time it was on my hair. After drying off and blow dry- it looked very natural, not overly dyed, just that bit extra of dark color needed.I think this is a winner, try it out if you too are baffled by Aveda's discontinuance of Black Malva conditioner and need a good replacement.

It gives my hair the boost it needed
I use the cherry. My hair is a natural light red and as I’ve gotten older has dulled. I don’t want to dye it because it’s still my natural color, no greys at 51, but just needs a boost. This shampoo does the job and add some subtle burgundy and pinkish hues while working great as a shampoo too. I use both the shampoo and conditioner about every third wash. I love it. My daughter with darker hair uses it sometimes too and it’s not really obvious but it definitely adds a subtle cherry undertone to her hair. So it’s good for both of us but it’s really perfect for me.

Conditioning, but not great color
I've used several colors of the Pure Blends shampoo (I'm a natural blonde that has been dying my hair various shades of red), and they have better color intensity than the conditioner. The conditioner left my hair feeling sticky, almost heavy (I have fine hair, so that's a common problem with conditioners). I will go back to using the shampoo to refresh my color.

Great for color but drying
I bought the marigold shampoo and conditioner. They were great for the copper color in my hair. Definitely looks nice and bright after I use these. However, it is definitely drying, and this is with only washing my hair at most every three days. I always do a deep conditioning treatment on days when I use these products.

Not the most moisturizing, but pretty good color
I use this conditioner in between henna treatments and in allows me to go a month longer between coloring. The scent is nice. I am using a more moisturizing conditioner alternating

Didn't work, dried out my hair
I have medium brown hair that I dye black. I decided to try this product to refresh my hair color between me dying it. I tried it twice: the first time i followed the bottle instructions and used it like a shampoo. I lathered it in and rinsed out. There was no change in color. The second time I left it in for 10-15 minutes and then rinsed out. Still no deposit of any color. It left my hair extremely dry and frizzy, i could grab it with my hand and hear it crunch. I'm giving it 2 stars because it does smell nice, and they have a return policy so I can send it back.

prolongs processed color
if you find your hair color washing out a week or two weeks after getting it colored, try using this in your shampoo as it will prolong your color until its time to color again. Just leave it on while you finish your bath/shower, then rinse off. I do recommend using a sealer to smooth out your cuticle and trap the color, as the color lies in your open hair cuticle.
