I started using a pocket hole jig to join structural members made from 1 inch pine and learned that the screws pull the joint out of place even when I use the clutch on my drill. Both pieces must be securely clamped. I built a jig using these thumb clamps that serves that purpose. There are heavier duty thumb clamps at higher prices from the same manufacturer but for pocket screwing pine, these are adequate and very reasonably priced. There are ways to "upgrade" these clamps with wing nuts and oversize rubber holders, but not necessary for what I do. The adjustment for thickness is a bit cumbersome so easier to get a bunch of these and use preset jigs for each thickness.

I really like these Powertec toggle clamps. As can be seen from the video I made a tongue and groove jig with these and they are perfect for this. The clamp is positive in that because of its cam design it clicks in place. They are adjustable in that the contact pads move in a vertical and horizontal plane. The size is perfect and doesn’t sacrifice its durability. They are very easy to assemble and install. The clamps perform very well as they do not have lateral play as I’ve experienced with other clamps. The appearance is exceptional as is the quality of the sub-components. I’m glad I bought four and would definitely buy these again.

These are good and they work well enough, but the fit between the plunger and the sleeve is looser than on the same type of clamps I bought from Xpaowa: https://www.amazon.com/XRPAOWA-Toggle-Release-Holding-Capacity/dp/B07214XRR1 The smoothness also wasn't quite as good. There seemed to be less lubrication, and it was more sticky. As a result the plunger is a little more wobbley, and needs a little more force when extending and retracting. It still works, it just doesn't feel as nice. I figured it was all the same part made in the same factory, but I guess there are subtle differences. Another thing to note is that these have a 5/16-18 thread, rather than the 8mm thread on the Xrpaoa model. That all said it still worked for my application, and it still holds well enough.

These have worked well with woodworking jigs.

Well made with very little to undetectable slop and smooth operation. Will buy again.

These were a cheaper option for a smoker mod than the LavaLok Brand and these welded to the chamber decently enough. I flap disc the galvanize off and squirted a little metal glue on to it and held up nice Lock down good and tight. Size is great for what they will be used for. We will see what a year in the elements have to say then circle back.

Works great

I only needed one toggle clamp but it certainly did the job. The build quality is good and for the low price it is a good deal. The adjustment range is limited so I had to install it on a 1/2 inch riser of hardwood to be able to hold down the item for sawing. It did the job.

Buen producto. Está fabricado completamente en acero, no tiene partes mecánicas de plástico ni otros materiales endebles. La aleación és perfecta en cuanto si fuerzas el aparato tiene la flexibilidad justa para no romperse y volver a su sitio. El émbolo está bien centrado y realiza un movimiento de vaivén perfectamente horizontal. La base mide 91x5mm, llegando a 140 de longitud con el émbolo totalmente estirado, éste se encuentra a unos 24mm del suelo. La planca mide unos 90mm que inrementan tanto longitud como altura máxima. La rosca no és métrica, en la descripción te dice que se asemeja a una M8 con paso de 1.25, pero no és así. Yo tuve que ir a comprar mi varilla roscada en una tienda especializada de mecánica para conseguir mi objetivo, pero se consigue. Lleva cuatro agujeros para fijarlo, que són suficientes, y la empuñadura de plástico és muy ergonómica y se agradece al tacto, aunque sometida a presión cede. El aparato soporta unos 130kg de tensión, en el punto de apriete, que és cuando la palanca está hacia delante, empujando el émbolo. Hacia el otro lado cede con mayor facilidad y la palanca no tiene una sujeción firme. En mi caso la usé para fijar una guia de corte de mi sierra de mesa casera, con lo que tiene un aplicación perfecta. Muy contento con el resultado y me apunto el fabricante para próximas compras de otros fijadores.

Toggle clamp quality is great but you need other accessories like mounting plates, Ttrak etc,... for it to use so it will cost huge thundering price.

The clamp works wonderfully as advertised. Very strong and holds my pieces sturdily in place. Love it and highly recommend this product.

Bought several of these, they work well. Adjustment of the main pin can be a bit fiddly but once adjusted they are fine and it's not hard to do anyway.
