I have another product from Sumo, and it is magnificent. So I decided this would be the brand I'd stick to for the pastry cutter I wanted since I could trust the sturdiness, the quality of the metal, and the overall feel.Unfortunately, my pastry cutter broke after only a few uses, but when I reached out to the seller Yuca, they quickly replied that there had been a production hiccup affecting a small number of these dough cutters and replaced my product instantly, and even offering further rectification than that which was requested. Love the sense of standing behind their product.Also, side note, if you are interested in the best unheralded ice cream scoop on Amazon, go look for the Sumo ice cream scoop. It by far exceeds others, and is truly dishwasher safe which is not actually true when you go digging into the reviews/product details of most well-known (and sometimes fancier-looking) scoops out there. Love this brand.

Handle is thick, and soft. The silicone makes it stay in your hand if you manage to get anything wet on you. I wish the finger grooves weren't there. They don't let me adjust my grip as comfortably as I'd like when I am cutting. It's a minor complaint, but would definitely decrease fatigue. Unless you're a gorilla, I don't see how anyone could break it. Durable, hasn't rusted yet, cleans right up (if you clean it immediately and don't lazily leave it in the sink to clean a couple hours later).For as cheap as it is (and reliable), there's no point in buying an expensive branded version, unless you're a loyalist who doesn't mind wasting the money.

Easy to hold, sturdy and easy to clean but blades are dull

The SUMO is a pleasure to use. I've used pastry blenders that look similar but are made from thinner material or blenders made with with wire blades; those blades flex, twist and get bent out of shape. The SUMO cuts through the cold butter without deforming.I had given up on finding a decent pastry blender and resorted to using a food processor to make pie crust or biscuits. I would cut the butter in the processor and then dump the mixture into a bowl to add the liquid. I could never get the food processor to adequately blend the wet and the dry without overworking the dough and making the butter pieces to small.Using the SUMO, I can make my dough in one bowl and not have to dirty the food processor to cut-in the butter. It's a solid, sturdy tool and I think it will outlast me.

When this cutter was received it was bent. My husband fixed it as best as he could. I emailed the company as suggested on a card they included just to let them know that is was received defective.Within a few hours I received an email with an apology, a refund and was told they are sending a replacement.I don’t remember the last time I received such a quick and pleasant customer experience.I will definitely look for Sumo products again.

Sometimes the handle will try to separate, but pressing them back together with your thumb will keep it working during the entire session. I am happy with this tool.

This is my first dough blender, I got it to make scones. It worked great for me. I was impressed by the quality, it felt nice and sturdy (especially for the price).

I was impressed with the quality of this kitchen utensil. This is not your discount store cutter. I is solid, comfortable to use, and high-quality steel. Great value.

So far so good. dad in law loves using this to make the potato fritters. He says it cuts thru boiled potatoes so easily.
