I've been taking Kava for almost a decade now and it's a great herb for me. I use it mostly for OCD and Social Anxiety symptoms that I have had since I was a teenager. This Kava Extract is one of the better ones that I've tried here on Amazon (I've tried at least 5-6 over the years), I've gone through 3 bottles so far and I'm always satisfied with the results. What I like most about Kava is that even though it affects GABA-A receptors like Benzodiazapines and Alcohol do, Kava doesn't make me drowsy at all or mess with my cognition. One of the reasons why it doesn't cause side effects like that is because Kava also affects Dopamine receptors.I've used it numerous times throughout the years to also help with college regarding things like tests, studying, writing papers, etc. Helps me clear my head and not feel so overwhelmed, especially with the bigger assignments and whatnot. I wasn't sure about this, I thought maybe I feel a little better, maybe it's a placebo effect but then the real test came. My period started without warning. And by that I mean without PMS. Maybe a coincidence? Next month, same thing. To be clear, I have really bad, screaming, crying, breaking things PMS. Not only that, my period was lighter and less painful. It might still be a coincidence but I'm not going to stop taking this to find out.

Well, after giving this a shot and committing to not feeling anything for the first week or so I, for the first time in a loooooong time, can say this product WORKS!! Took about a week and I take one pill around 3pm most days as I am the edgy-ist in the later afternoon. Wow! W/in 30 mins I feel this slight tingle and calming sensation. Sleep has been tremendously improved and overall mood is - enjoyable! Feeling like myself again! I am 21 days in and very impressed.

Kava kava by VH Nutrition is by far the most superior Kava I’ve tried. As someone who suffers from anxiety disorders, this product helped me reduce my pharmaceutical prescriptions. I also suffer from sleep problems including sleep paralysis and I’ve not had to take a sleeping medication since this bottle arrived. I’m falling asleep easier and staying asleep for the entire night. Even though it helps me get quality sleep, It does not make me sleepy during the day and I feel more clear headed with a calm energy while I’m at work. I’m absolutely thrilled with this product and will continue using it. And it’s all natural!

... but typically for me it takes something very powerful/strong before I notice it... so I can't say it's ineffective, just maybe not for me.I bought this because I was looking for something to help relieve anxiety/stress and promote relaxation, I was curious about Kava, and the price was reasonable given my budget.Sadly, I didn't really notice the effects this product suggested. I didn't really notice anything, even after I carelessly upped the recommended dosage 4x for a few days. I read that Kava typically has a numbing effect in the mouth, so I opened the capsule up and dumped it in my mouth to see if it actually contained Kava. It did in fact provide a light numbing effect, so I think this product might actually be Kava... I love the way it smells, it kind of reminds me of Christmas (kind of smells like some variation of a Christmas tree).... but unfortunately my body/mind didn't seem to respond to it when I consumed it.I won't rate or suggest the product as bad, because it very well might be good for people who have a better awareness of their body/mind sensations... I spent a good while reading through reviews and a lot seem very positive. I must just be insensitive to it. I still have about half a bottle left which I won't be taking, mostly because if it will work for me, I'll certainly have to increase the dosage way beyond what I'm comfortable doing (especially with the rumors/reputation Kava has associated to severe liver damage). I carry these pills with me everywhere i go i was recommended these pills and i am amazed on how quick and effective these pills are , every time i share one with someone either at work or at home to help them calm their nerves they are hooked just like i was. I have a habit of waking up twice a night and when i drink these i KO no inturruptions love it im well rested .
