This one hits home a little differently because I’m moving into this new chapter called retirement. SJR always serves up amazing spirit food in her books and sermons. This book is, of course, a buffet! Reading it felt like one of my good girlfriends encouraging me with some real talk advice about reclaiming and honoring my power after years of teaching and feeling powerless. This book made me laugh really hard, shed some little girl tears, and jump up posing like Wonder Woman!! Sarah reminded me that God created us in His Image, which means we can and should walk confidently knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. I think “Power Moves” is a must-read for new and veteran teachers. Honestly, Sarah Jakes Roberts (SJR) wrote this book for anyone who is ready to make some power moves in their home, job, community, mind, and spirit. Get this book, some fancy pens and highlighters, a journal, several bookmarks, your Bible, some tissue, and a cape! Trust me. You will need them all!

I’ve studied personal development for almost 35 years and the typical conversation about power is about exertion.Sarah has brought a fresh perspective of power that is fluid (dare I say, “feminine”).We embody our power differently and as needed. When you encounter a literary masterpiece, it stirs something inside of you - that’s what “Power Moves” did for me.Initially, I had imagined the book focusing on making power moves. While it does, it is also a reminder that power is already in us, and we must acknowledge that it comes from God. Also, when we adjust our moves to align the way power moves, it helps us to become more powerful. However, playing it safe keeps us from walking in our authentic power.This book is filled with gems and I encourage you to read it yourself. Don’t allow fear to limit what God has put in you; instead, pay close attention to how Power Moves, and walk in your power, and victory!

Pastor Sarah has done it again!! She’s released a book that speaks to the internal battles and struggles of so many. Speaking for myself, I know what it feels like to experience trauma and rejection and to feel powerless. I am so grateful to God that Pastor Sarah was obedient in allowing God to speak through her to give us strategies on how to move in power to add to our toolbox. 10 out of 10, I highly recommend this book for anyone who is struggling to unlock the power that God has placed on the inside of us to do to works that he has called us to do.

This book is nothing you can imagine! It’s spoken to every situation I’ve encountered since picking it up. She definitely walked in anointing with this one. GET IT!

This book is helping me to unlearn and dismantle unhealthy cognitive systems I deem as “normal or comfortable”. Most importantly it helps me elevate spiritually

I read a little bit each night before I go to bed and the way the chapters are broken up it is great reading. I always feel so positive after reading a few pages. I can't wait to attend one of Ms. Roberts conventions.

This book is packed with tools and knowledge you need to learn that power isA flow and how to flow in power and identify areas in life you lost power and howTo claim it back. Every chapter i have read has ministered to me and helped give me language and heal. Go purchase this book. It is powerful and a source of breakthrough. The media could not be loaded.  I’m used to buying hard cover books that have a cover picture on the book itself, but this one is blank as you can see in the video. The pages are also super slim and of poor quality.As I said earlier, the content is great, clear, eye opening, and easy to comprehend. Sarah has outdone herself with this book which I didn’t want to put down once I started reading.
