Seamless, Professional Audio – The Perfect Lavalier for DJI Mic 2
I’m a long-time DJI user—from drones to underwater cameras—and I also rely on the DJI Mic 2 for recording. To step up my audio and make things less distracting on camera, I wanted a Lavalier mic that was both discreet and fully compatible. That’s what led me to the DJI Lavalier Mic (compatible with DJI Mic 2). It’s not the cheapest option out there, but sometimes peace of mind is worth paying for. The build quality is excellent—solid, reliable, and designed to integrate seamlessly with the DJI Mic 2 system. It plugs straight into the transmitter, letting me hide the bulkier mic and simply clip the lavalier to my lapel for a cleaner, more professional setup. The sound quality is impressive. In fact, I’d say it’s noticeably better than using the standard mic alone. The 950mm cable gives plenty of length to thread through clothing, which keeps everything neat and out of sight. Yes, it costs more than third-party alternatives, but the combination of quality, compatibility, and ease of use makes it worth the investment. If you want flawless performance with your DJI Mic 2, I’d recommend going with the genuine version.

Good quality mic from DJI
The mic has a good length of cable with a high quality jack plug connector. It has a detachable clip which has a good grip when using the mic on clothing. As you would expect , the mic has a small form factor even with the included wind shield so it certainly looks good and it works seamlessly with the DJI Mic2 giving very clear audio and no connection issues at all. I think this is a very good value mic from DJI which renders good quality audio.

Dji branded quality
These lav mics are great sound quality and fit as expected straight into my dji mic2 setup. Good quality, long run of wire for hiding under clothing. Great sound and functionality/compatability with the dji mic2 setup. I’m happy 👍🏻

Best match for me on a good budget
I wish I bought this a lot sooner. It is so much better than what I had before. I already have a DGI Mike one and they work so well together I use it mainly for interview interviews and documentaries and podcasts and this has amazed me so much the size is brilliant. The qualities is amazing but the only thing is the wire is a little bit short than what I thought but the noise levels are perfect and cancels the noise out from unnecessary background.

The only lav mic I have tried which is compatible
I've tried multiple cheap mics and the Sennheiser ME2, none of which are compatible. The cheap ones have issues with the audio signal and the ME2 doesn't connect properly due to the locking connector. The DJI mic is of course compatible and does a decent job for the price. I'd prefer it was smaller for discrete placement, but again, it's a cheap mic. The sound is as good as you'd hope for.

Improves Clarity & Depth
This is an interesting one. I can't always tell that much of a difference when I listen to an interview with me using the mic 2 to ask questions on it's own vs the mic 2 on the subject with this mic attached however there is still definitely an improvement in clarity, especially when positioned pointing directly at the subject's mouth, rather than underneath clipped on to a shirt or jacket. Not really the way it's intended to be used but it's become a bit of a trend to do so anyway and if you don't want to join that trend you could use the mic for voice over parts and hold it that way for extra clarity. I actually noticed a big difference when I used this external mic to pick up audio of a question from the audience at an event I filmed vs the other mic 2 at a similar distance without an external mic. The Mic 2 without it sounded much more muffled. So it showed a big different in the clarity and depth in that instance. It's a nice affordable upgrade for content creators or video experts who want to make those little adjustments to get better quality. In comparison to another lav mic option, the Tascam DR10L, the Mic 2 doesn't hold up as well even with the external mic although they both capture 32bit float audio. I like having the reasurance that my audio is unlikely to clip on all the lavs I have in my kit now. The Tascam has better clarity and depth but it is priced higher so is understandable.

Simple and effective
The DJI series are good microphone sets, but they are visible. This lavallier helps to hide the bulky unit and so far no noticeable degredation of sound. Very happy.

It's good for the price, good quality, compared to the Sennheiser MKE2 it's def. a lesser category, but for everyday or on the go reels and interviews it's very good for the price and you can't tell the difference. On rare occasions because of the clip, the sound gets muffled when the mic is pressed against the person's skin (This happens because the clip is small and keeps moving), never faced this issue with the MKE2. Just adjust the placement of the mic and make sure its tip doesn't get pressed against the person's skin and you are fine.

OK, I am a bit biased, but for the right reasons. I love DJI products, though they are getting expensive and tougher to find, thanks to an American drone company crying foul as they could not compete with DJI. I won't mention their name, but their name starts with an 'S'. Anyhow, DJI products are all great, at least 4 star and most are 5 star. They are innovative, quality and stand behind their products, though in America, warranties are touch and go, due to being a Chinese company nowadays. This DJI lavalier mike is no different. It works well with the Mic 2 system as well as the mic Mini sets. I am sure it'll work with any hand held wireless system as they all work about the same way. It is crisp and clear and works well. i ended up buying two when they were about half the price before tariffs and availability issues. I use these with both my Mic 2 and Mini Mics and it works great and of course those connect well with my cameras from DJI. The build is pretty good and see no issues. I mean, honestly, most lavaliers feel somewhat cheaply made as they all feel about the same. The test is the sound quality and these do very well. I had owned a DJ business for 30 years and would not hesitate to use these.
