Great Quality, Affordable, Large Watercolor Paper
As a watercolor artist, I am very satisfied with this purchase.Twelve large sheets for roughly ten dollars is a great deal for this quality watercolor paper. This paper is wonderful for watercolor paint. It is very absorbent and makes a great surface for watercolor paint to adhere to.With some paper you get a more floppy, less dense paper in the larger sizes, but I have not found that to be the case with this paper, as it is nice and crisp. The large orientation of the paper will cause you to use up your paint more quickly, but the result is having large, vibrant painting that are vivid and eye-catching.5/5 stars for this paper pad.

Best paper for beginners and experienced painters
Don't even try watercolor without a decent watercolor paper- it's just too frustrating. You can get by with cheaper paint and brushes, but you need good paper. This is the exact paper I use for all my beginner classes, but it's also the paper I enjoy painting with every day. I might upgrade for something really special, but 95% of what I paint is on Strathmore 300 series 140lb paper. This is usually the best price around and I love that this is sheets and not a pad of paper. (A block of paper is nice, but why would anyone want a pad- attached on only one end?)

Good paper
I made a portrait for the first time using this paper. See photo. I followed a tutor using cotton paper. She said to expect different results with different paper. All the watercolor artists urge you to buy expensive paper as a beginner. Well I think as a beginner you don't need to do that. Wait until you have some solid technique. I did not feel that this paper held me back at all. I just followed the instructor for this portrait. She didn't wet the paper ever. But sometimes we added paint before the previous layer dried. The paper did not dry too fast. I had no trouble with unwanted color lines that I couldn't blend out. I had no trouble with smudging previous layers. Frankly I had no issues with this paper. All the problems you see in the photo are just bad technique. Don't buy expensive paper as a beginner. Also I liked this paper better than Canson.

Love this paper!
I would go broke if I bought super premium paper all the time. This is such a nice middle of the road good quality paper. Great size, good absorption. I think this will be my go to paper and when I want to create a masterpiece I’ll pull out the fancy paper.
