Light stand
Perfect, just what I was after. Can't believe I got 2 for this price.

Better than a tripod (most of the time)
These stands are great - I use them as lightweight portable tripods for outdoor photography - much easier to lug around than heavy tripods, and much cheaper than an "aerospace engineered, using formula 1 materials" lightweight tripod, as a tripod they're not brilliant but do the job - they need flat ground to stand upright as the feet are not independent, they're not the best made things - I've had to re-attatch a screw at the bottom of one which holds the main shaft to the leg mechanism.These stands are however VERY easy to throw in the car with a couple of cameras, batteries in something like a yoga bag and carry around with you for 3 or 4 hours.I have also used one of them as a walking stick - they're certainly not disposable, but are cheap enough to think "If I need to use this light stand to save me from sliding down a muddy cliff, I'd rather break the stand than myself"

Good for the price
Not bad for its price. Nice and small and lightweight for any use like a ring light, but i'd be cautious about putting any real weight on the end of it. Packs down nice and small, and the segments lock well when extending the poles.

Very Handy, lightweight and a good starter set
I like that these are relatively inexpensive, they are rather good quality, they have decent height and they support a fair amount of weight, they are a "you get what you pay for so I'd be a bit careful with heavier lights like aputure 120D and so on. Overall would highly recommend only to those that are looking for a decent pair of lighting stands for starting out in video making.

What's not to like?
They pack up small into their bags and are tall enough for studio work. I might not put a 5 foot softbox onto them, but other than that, these are excellent and sturdy. Well pleased as I'm trying to simplify my photography and make it a leaner, lighter affair!
