Double Flexi Clamp

This device is a double pinch clip or pinch clamp flexi arm.The clamp on either end is identical and grips with a large amount of force, capable of gripping a desk edge or chair back.I used this device as a webcamera mount for a partially sighted elderly gentleman so the webcam could be supported 3 inches up from the desk and he could place documents underneath to read.The clamp worked well for this and is capable of supporting its weight bent to 90 degrees a few inches above the first clip holding the desk, and put out from there.The flexible arm is capalble of 180 degree + of rotation in either direction before reaching its limit and needing to be turned the other way, essentially giving you a full 360 degree rotation.The arm can bend to 90 degrees withing about 1-2 inches of its approximate 18 inch length.This is also one of the cheapest flexi arms avaliable on the market despite being amazingly high quality, and as a flexible pipe arm and not a jointed arm it gives amazing quality of adaptablility.The grips are very sturdy and grip hard, but not so hard as to damage most things, each grip has two rubber square pads inside to help with gripping thinner or more delicate items.Does exactly what I thought it would do, and then a little bit extra.I would say it is ideal for model makers, designers, people looking for a flexible support for webcams, and many others.

If you use it in the fairly simple vertical positions shown in the product description it works well enough. If you use it in more complicated twisted positions as I did (trying to clamp it to a desk of chrome and plastic composition in order to hold A4 worksheets at an angle beside a computer monitor) it readily slips out of position. The rounded clamps don't get enough purchase on a smooth surface when subject to lateral pressure. The gripping surface inside each clamp consists only of two sets of two opposed plugs about 15mm in diameter. These seem to be made of plastic rather than rubber and so don't grip as well as I had hoped on smooth or shiny surfaces. As a result the whole thing either rotates or slides out of position. The other parts of the product -- the flexible arm and the springs in the clamps -- worked satisfactorily. I think the manufacturer should in future give some thought to making the clamps grip better by changing their shape and increasing/improving the gripping surface.

it doesn't hold anything in place very well, apart from perhaps a sheet of paper. also the short reach is a problem.

my wife needed something to hold her cross stitch patterns and this does the job quite well, the clamps are a bit tight but most people could manage even if they needed to use both hands, a good robust and flexible product.

I am a food photographer and this product will work great as an extra pair of hands holding reflector cards in place etc; it is very strong and has a great grip the flexibility means that I will be able to get in close to my subject in those awkward to reach places. It is a handy piece of kit for product and food photographers I am so pleased with the results I intend buying more in the future. ordered it on amazon Item arrived well ahead of due date well packed and exactly as described I am more than happy with this seller and will be happy to buy products from them again.

Does what it says. Find it very useful in holding my chart on a magnetic boarda, makes it easier to see

well made; strong clamps, but only suitable for lightweight items

Best purchase ever. I got it in white and use it to hold my webcam while filming youtubes and live streaming art projects. Always stable and sturdy, it has never lost the shape i have put it in. Brilliant product.
