Great mix
As a base, this worked amazing for a carrot cake. As stated on the box for a yellow cake, I’d drop to 4 stars. But it’s 100x better than other gluten free mixes I’ve used. For the yellow cake I used 2 boxes to make two 9x13 layers. One layer I made exactly as on the box. The batter was thick and I was worried it would be dry, so the second box I added 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce and an extra 2 tablespoons of oil. They ended up very similar, I didn’t need to change anything but it didn’t hurt either. Alone, I thought the cake tasted almost like corn bread (I only tasted the edge trimmings) and seemed dense. It also had a raised hard edge all around the top, and the top was VERY gooey. I cut off the hard edges, flipped the cake upside down so I could frost the much easier to work with bottom, used my regular icing I always make, and no one knew it was different than any other cake I’ve made, including 3 teenage boys who would be quick to say they don’t like something. It seemed less sweet than regular cake mixes, but with the icing it tasted great and the texture was much better than I thought it would be.For the carrot cake, I used the gluten free carrot cake recipe on the King Arthur website, only I replaced the pineapple by using 3/4 cup oil instead of the suggested half, and adding 8 oz unsweetened applesauce, didn’t use raisins, and baked in two 9-inch pans. My sister is the only one who can’t eat gluten, but I would make it again just for myself. It was so good.

Best gluten free sugar cookies I've tried
I've been searching for good gluten free sugar cookies for years (either premade, or a good recipe (which means the best ingredients to use) or a mix). This is the only thing I've found that fits the bill. I've tried numerous recipes, but they came out too crunchy or too soft, or especially the texture was never right (seems most recipes and gluten free flour blends have rice flour in them, and rice flour no matter how fine it's ground, seems to be gritty). I dislike gritty baked goods. This mix has no rice flour........uses oat flour.I did mix the dough and then put in the fridge for an hour before rolling out to make cut out cookies. The cookies kept their shape perfectly upon baking. I did bake using the longest recommended time, and I felt it was just a bit too long for my liking (cookies came out slightly harder than I prefer) so next time I will bake a couple of minutes less. The sweetness of the cookies was perfect for me.Again, I'm very grateful to find a gluten free sugar cookie mix with no rice flour. It makes a huge difference in my opinion.

Perfect taste
The BEST sugar cookies... My family made 4 doz at Christmas and bought more boxes for events through the year. These are easy to make and so tasty. I followed the exact instructions on the box and they came out perfect.

Cookies
I made these gluten/dairy free and they turned out pretty much the same as my regular flour cookies. They taste great, held their shape and stayed nice and soft. My kids loved them. Only thing I did differently is add some almond extract. These are the best gluten free cookies I've ever made.

Delicious but read the instructions!
These cookies turned out really well but definitely read the instructions. This isn't a last minute, whip some cookies together mix. You need to refrigerate the dough for 2 hours, and make sure you have cornstarch ready.

Perfect for wheat allergies!
Looks and taste exactly like "regular" cake. My kids have many food allergies so I have tried a lot. Everyone who ate it was blown away! This is by far the best cake mix for anyone with wheat allergies.

THE BEST!
The media could not be loaded. These are the best gluten free sugar cookies we’ve ever tried or made! We have already gotten multiple boxes. Love to bake the cookies in a cupcake pan and make sugar cookie cups, topped with frosting and sprinkles. It is such a treat, so delicious. We will be buying these anytime we’re craving sugar cookies. 10/10 🎉
