Magic Town [DVD]

My daughter often works on her own and likes to play what she calls 'No Brainer' DVDs - they are gentle easy to follow stories and if you take your attention away while you do something else you aren't going to miss much.You don't have to stare at the screen to follow the plot. Magic Town fills the bill perfectly (along with the Hinge & Bracket box set)!

The DVD quality of Magic Town is utterly appalling. The sound track is so out of sync with the image that it's laughable - up to 20 seconds lag in some parts. There are also severe image artefacts throughout some sections of the film - absolutely terrible quality.I haven't watched Johnny Belinda yet, but if the quality is the same then I won't be very happy.I am so fed-up with buying rubbish quality DVDs - I've only just sent back one version of 'Johnny Belinda' which refused to play at all.

As I remembered it. Not as good as 'It's a wonderful life', but worth seeing If you like James Stewart. Considering some of the dross on TV at the moment I wonder why this film is not seen more. Well worth a viewing.
