Helps when I'm deadlifting and bouldering, i like the fineness of the chalk.

Good bag of chalk but don't be fooled like i was thinking it's an actual bag that carrys the chalk. It's a pouch that has chalk in it.

I also have the original Magic Chalk Sphere, the one with string, but I preffer this sock to it. It's more comfortable and easy to use because it doesn't have that string...it's awkard to dip your hand in the chalk bag and instead of strocking a soft and plush sphere, your fingers get tangled in that string and push onto the rigid plastic part. I use it with Unicorn Dust and works very well. It's relatively easy to refill. You must fill only half of it so that you can turn the other side around the filled part, but make sure you twist it a couple of times before you do that, or otherwise it will open and all the chalk will come out.

Expensive for what you get, its just a sock twisted with chalk in it

My son was doing a climbing qualification and asked for some chalk. He really liked the fact it’s in a bag which keeps it tidier and harder to get everywhere. Thumbs up from him. Great gift

It's essentially a sock that you twist and fold over itself. This ends up with having two layers that the chalk has to get through, which makes it quite hard to get enough chalk on your hands. Since you have to fold it over itself, it isn't as convenient as chalk balls that have a drawstring, and you end up losing a lot of chalk when you try to fill it as there is chalk trapped between the two layers when you unfold it to refill. Save your money and just buy the regular chalk ball, I wish I did.

Works great. I was skeptical about chalk in a sock, but this is awesome stuff. leaves my hands coated perfectly, and dries my sweaty palms so my next lift has perfect grip. Also much more carpet-friendly than a bag of loose chalk.
