Panther Marine 55-2600 Auxiliary Motor Steering Kit - Stainless Steel

This product is easy to install if you take your time and measure the desired movement of both motors. Works perfect for my application, its easy to connect out on the water. Couldn't be happier.

My steel rod lasted 10 years but finally was beaten into submission from the salt water. I had to disassemble and grease it every year to keep it working. I finally spent the $$ for a stainless replacement and should have many years ago. My assembly was easy since I already had a linkage attached. All the old hardware had to be cut or broken off. Take your time on salty motors, you're one broken bolt away from turning a 30 minute job into 3 hours.

Works like it should. Has quite a bit of vibration that I guess you just get used to!

Works well in my boat

I used this to connect the rudder of a Hunter 260 to a Mercury 9.9. Now I can use the rudder steering to steer the motor at the same time and have better low speed maneuverability. The quick release works fantastic.

Can easily raise either motor. Hooked between a Yamaha 225 and Merc 15 kicker. Can raise either motor without affecting the other. We keep the big motor down when trolling which acts like a rudder and is very easy to steer the kicker. Easy to install and seems sturdy.

In principle, this should work flawlessly. Unfortunately the rod end holes are drilled out to such close tolerances that there is very very little wall thickness left to provide any strength for the ball hole socket to hold without breaking as you can see in the before and after pictures above. I did like this quite a bit too - until it spontaneously snapped in two as I was steering the outboards while fishing today. I tried Amazon's vendor contact link for support and got a massage about a broken link. So I'm stuck. No support and a worthless product. NOT Recommended.

Works as it should. I can individually tilt the main or kicker and turn the wheel with either motor up or down. Much better then sitting on the back of the boat trying to navigateInstalled on a Yamaha 150xb and 9.9 high thrust kicker both 2018 model. I did have to buy some bolts to install on the kicker bit the brackets it came with worked just fine after I figured out how I wanted to configure the bracket

Could have done with a few more instructions but after a bit of trial and error it works perfectly.

Va super bien et s’enlève facilement

Took me less than 30 minutes to install. I had to drill two holes in my kicker motor to attach the bracket. Also had to purchase two stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts for mounting the bracket to my kicker as they don't come in the kit. Highly recommend this steering kit.
