Borax, 1 Gallon Bucket, Multipurpose Cleaner, Laundry Additive

I use this for my laundry soap and it works well, amazing value, good size, cleans well, easy to use.

Perfect for DIY Laundry soap. Cleans well, and this quantity lasts to make large batches of detergent. Works well, cheaper than name brand laundry detergent & less ingredients to keep my family safe !

I bought this particular Borax product because it came in a canister, not a box. Why? Because a plastic sealed container to protect from Florida humidity would have cost more than a boxed additive. Also, our son has a violent reaction to the smell of chlorine bleach fumes which circulate after a hot wash.I first added this to detergent with a colored load-2 coffee scoops for a moderate load, warm water. The aroma that filled our apartment brought me back to my childhood; the utterly refreshing smell of clean clothing. The colors looked much brighter at the finish. When I finally collected a load of whites, I added the same amount. The whites come out as bright as bleached laundry, and a badly soiled and stained dish towel came out absolutely clean. I'm sold. It was worth having to rearrange my laundry to fit in the borax tub!

This tub of borax is a very good buy. I use borax for washing work clothes and my pet's bedding. It removes all odors and leaves laundry fresher. The plastic bucket keeps out moisture and no clumping like the paper box. Good choice!

My only reason for 4 stars is that this product contains Sodium (Na). I am now developing my own laundry detergent which I will be able to use wash water/rinse water upon our landscape.Have used for years with often very, very dirty laundry additive with laundry detergent. Have weaned from use of Chlorine bleach with very good success. Of course some "stains" remain... however the fabrics are very clean! Now that I have developed a system to use this "grey water" over our landscape I find that this is the last remaining obstacle!Absolutely... this is a superior product! It just will not work for saving water from going into the Public Sewer. THESE ARE THE THINGS WE ALL NEED TO BE CONSIDERING!
