Is there a speedfil system bottle you can attach to bike if you dont have aero bars?

Yes, you will want to get either the F1 or F2 system depending on your preference. F2 is similar to A2 meaning it uses a standard Specialized "Purist" style bottle so you can use a different bottle if you want (larger, insulated, etc). The F1 is aero, fills the center triangle of your bike and had a large capacity. Both F1 and F2 can be used with a road bike.

Does the A2 threaded cap work with Elite Fly bottles?

Thanks your interest in the Speedfil A2. Due to the thinner walls and different cap profile of the Elite Fly bottle we do not consider this to be compatible with the A2. If you are looking for an alternate bottle to use with the A2 a Specialized branded Wide Mouth bottle is compatible.

Can one use other generic bike bottles or do you have to use the proprietary one? Trying to get a larger capacity bottle, many thanks and good racing

Thanks for your interest in our Speedfil products. Yes you can use other bottles as long as they have the same threads. Any Specialized brand bottle will work and you can use a 21oz bottle or the larger 24 oz. There might be a few other bottle brands out there that will work. We do know that Polar brand bottles do not fit. I hope this helps Speedfil.

How do you attach the water bottle to your aerobars? Do you have to buy the Z4 cage?

I did buy the cage. I think there may be several renditions of a cage system for this bottle but the easiest and most highly recommended was the Z4.
