Walden Backyards Bonfire Boss™ Fire Gloves (One Pair)

I use these to stir my fireplace and add wood. These are just right for protecting your hands and forearms from excessive heat.

I've used fire gloves while tending the campfire for decades. My last pair got left out in the rain, and then somehow I put them away wet and ruined them. So I ordered the Walden Backyards Bonfire Boss™ Fire Gloves as a replacement.For me, these gloves are particularly useful when setting the cooking grate over the fire, or removing it after we're done smoking the salmon, grilling steaks, etc. While they can be used to grab burning firewood as shown in the advertisement, I don't recommended doing that. They're best for strategically setting new wood onto an already burning fire.The Bonfire Boss gloves are considerably thicker than others that I've seen. These are also very long. At 17" they almost reach my elbows! Some of the orange trim is frayed, but I don't see that as a problem. After all, these are going to get abused in the name of my protection.For safety and convenience, I do recommend these gloves over less-expensive "fireplace gloves".

I had a pair of welding gloves that I was using for BBQ and lawn tasks. It eventually got too wet and then the leather got crunchy and card and finally ripped. I threw them out and have been looking for a replacement since. I ordered these because the long gloves are great for protecting your forearms when around the hot grills or hibachis. These are so long they keep my arm hair safe from burning when too close to the heat. The padding around the hands is pretty good as well, these actually seem better made in the stitching than the last pair I had. I wish they were all black rather than yellow because the yellow gets dirty pretty fast. But I appreciate the way it is made, I think that makes the stiching better. They fit pretty well for one size fits all, so unless your hands are super small or terribly large, order these and you won't be sorry!

This is a pair of Bonfire Boss fire gloves. The heavy duty leather gloves will help to protect your hands, wrists and lower arms from burning while working around any fire, indoors or outdoors. The black gloves have reinforced palms and insulating aluminum lining. Each glove is 16" long to fit most adult hands. They are rated to 900 degrees. Each glove has a short hanging loop to help keep them out of the way when not in use.Would recommend these to anyone.

These fire gloves offer suitable hand and forearm heat protection. The leather feels substantial and the overall construction is solid. The size, however, is huge. I generally wear a women's size medium in gloves (7.5) and these are enormous on me. In fact, they slip off my hands entirely if my arms are pointed downward at my sides. Nevertheless, the fit is much better on my husband, who finds them perfectly comfortable. I haven't fired up my wood-burning stove yet for the season, but I have tested these gloves by removing hot dishes from my kitchen oven; there were no issues with my hands feeling heat. Even though these are large on me, I'll still be able to use them for my wood stove and they are definitely an improvement over the standard oven mitts I normally use. Each glove has a small loop by the cuff, which is handy for hanging on a bbq hook or a fireplace tool rack. Despite the size issue, these gloves are quite nice.

I have small hands but I’m the one to run the fire pit almost always (99% of the time). Was very suspicious of the single size and expected them to be a little big but they are so giant I can’t grip anything, more like flippers. They fit my dad fine, but he felt they wouldn’t grip enough even for him to use with grilling tools. I’m pretty adept at using long tools to grip a handle or adjust logs, as well as knowing where and when to move my hand when adding a log so it isn’t a huge deal to still not have something but want to get into cooking more on the open fire with Dutch oven (fan of stews and griddle cakes, literally could have that everyday). Especially bummed since these feel really well constructed, tough, thick enough to work well, durable to last a long time, also pretty cool looking. No looking cool for me. If you have gigantic hands these are the gloves for you. If you have tiny hands and make a big fire keep looking.

I had a similar pair that I had for years and they eventually got worn out and the leather got hard. I replaced them with these. I use them mainly around the grill and smoker. I use it to move hot grates, pizza stones and other hot utensils while cooking outdoors. I also use them while building fires and moving hot coals and embers around. The long forearm protection these have is appreciated when using them to do this type of work. They seem to be well made and hopefully will last as long as my previous pair.

These gloves are heavy duty...thick suede leather with an aluminum fabric lining. They are large...way too big for my hands, actually, but I can still use them. My sister and I heat our home entirely with wood, and sometimes logs need to be shifted and rearranged. Pokers and tongs are a big part of that job, but these gloves will really help. They'll be especially appreciated when it is time to add a new log to the fire. Since they come almost all the way to my elbows, they offer genuine protection from the burns I sometimes get from hitting the rim of the woodstove door when I'm trying to get away from that heat quickly! I'm giving these a 5-star rating!
