Strong brush that will remove most unwanted stains etc
I bought this to remove paint from a bannister I had test painted a bit in black and then decided I did not like it! The brush is strong and effective, and will have a useful second life as a cleaner for my mower to remove grass and other debris from it.

Much better for hoof trimming
Cheap, cheerful, does a great job at getting in all the cracks of the.hoof. a fab tool which i wouldn't trim without. I also use for daily hoofcare. Much better than my old one!

Amazingly comfortable handle, mediocre brush.
In the past I have previously used wire brushes including and like the followingSilverline, Builders Brand, Wilkos own brand and DraperWith a wide, thin handle made of either wood or plastic, with holes in the head stuffed with lots of short straight wires stuffed in the holes.THE HANDLE------------------The Faithful brush is very different indeed, and I can not express how comfortable it is to use. I used it on and off for around 2 hours and did not have any sores, red marks nor blisters after I had finished, I could have happily carried on for another couple of hours if I had needed to. My hands are on the large side with the tip of my middle finger to the base of my palm measuring 20cm, and the handle of the brush fit my grip like a glove. While I genuinely can not praise it enough, solid sides on the handle could have improved comfort a little.THE BRUSH----------------I have to confess I am still unsure of my sentiment towards the brush head. Unlike other brushes I have used the Faithful did not start loosing bristles the instant I started to use it, in fact it only just started to loose bristles near the end of the job. The bristles did however start to splay outwards fairly early on but did not seem to effect performance until I was nearing the end of the job, the last 20% of the work defiantly required more effort and time to complete.Due to the shape of the brush head and shaft holding the bristles I ended up using it more in the fashion you would use a hand saw, using the sides of the bristles rather than the tips. The shape of previous brushes I had used you could use two hands, one on the grip and the other pushing down on the head to get more force into the brush, that obviously isn’t possible with the Faithful, if it were I’m pretty sure I would have got done a bit quicker. It’s worth pointing out the pictures below show the brush after it has been sat in my potting shed for over 5 months since last used and there is zero rust on it.CONCLUSION-------------------The brush is 24.5cm long, 2.5cm wide and 6cm deep. The handle I would give an easy 4.5/5. As for the brush, while there was no bristle loss at the start it has now started to do so, and the bristles are now quite splayed out compared to how it looked new. After 2 hours use it is no longer has the performance it had when new, and I’m guessing it would do the job I used it for once more before being declared unfit for purpose. The brush I would have a 3.5/5.The next time I require a wire brush I would defiantly consider another one of these, however if the job required some muscle then I would likely go with one that could be used with two hands, the Faithful brush is defiantly more suited to jobs like removing moss from brick work.Make sure to shop around as this is available with different coloured handles and sometimes other colours are available cheaper, there’s a good deal on the red one at the moment (April 2015).
