Ubiquiti LiteBeam M5 network antenna

Works great for me. Iv cancelled my broadband and using my friends internet over 0.2 miles away, there are buildings in in the path and still gets strong connection. I use 2 off these pointed at each other set above chimney’ and just above apex’s. The ground level is flat between. These pick up connect to other standard WiFi routers (if you have passcode) so if a friend lives in line of sight down the road you might be able to use just one off these.Aligning them point to point wasn’t to hard, they have a app and tell you when the signals strong by fractions of moment.Only down sides is the lan is 100Mbps (The beams WiFi is about 300Mbps), it’s a shame the lans not 1Gbps. Other thing is I have a PoE switch with a few power settings but still have to use the PoE injector provided.Other thing is this will pay for them selfs for me as my broadband was about £30 a month.Will upload pics another day when next on roof

Ubiquiti products, first rate, I can't fault them

Having read many reviews and articles from across the internet I genuinely had high hopes of this device curing a long standing problem, being how to connect an adjacent building only 15m away to the internet without running a cable.previous attempts with TP-Link routers acting as range extenders thanks to their WDS settings have achieved moderately ok results for basic web browsing but nothing much else.So, we installed the dish and it looks great.. very professional looking!... And that is where the pain starts, the Software! when setting it up, The wireless tab only gives you the choice of WEP encryption... OR NONE!For those that don't know WEP is old and very insecure by modern standards... enough that devices such as my iPhone have a permanent message below the connection saying its "weak security" and others just won't even allow you to connect at all!! So I decided to update the firmware thinking there is no way a company like Ubiquity would rely solely on WEP... Firmware updated and its still WEP or nothing.We pushed on none the less, and quickly found that the signal when stood 2m in front of the dish is great but when you move away to about 10m its dropping off rapidly. Where these claims of multiple KiloMeters come from beats me!Web browsing inside the adjacent building is certainly possible but when you try to load up a youtube video it gets a more than a bit flakey.I truly do not understand how this device has got so many 5* reviews. It does work, to only to a point (about 20m), but its certainly not the wonder device all the sales garbage and reviews claim it is... at least not in my experience anyway. Either I have got a defective unit or this is as good as a Ubiquity M5 gets.

Absolutely no info on the leaflet that comes with this. No proper help on the site either. Do NOT purchase this if you’re expecting to install DIY. It’s clearly a professional install product. Also doesn’t come with any mounting brackets!!! No helpline to call. Really disappointing.

really?!!! that object don t work alone need a sister ,so guys if you need internet free must buy 2 antennas ,why the seller don t advertise about that ,who want to buy my antenna i sell for 20 pounds ,

A great product and does exactly what I needed however what has impressed me the most is the support from Euro DK Team.I struggled with the set up and sent a few emails, not only were the emails replied to very quickly they were very helpful.However (I’m not very technically minded), so I decided to call and received exceptional support and guidance from a wonderful guy called Alex who was absolutely brilliant and got me up and running very quickly !!!I am not sure what else Euro DK sell however will be buying from them again, great service and support along with a product that extends my WiFi from house over 150m which is what I needed.Thank you !!!
