Great finish, zero hassle—worked perfectly on my bike carrier
Used Simoniz Engine Paint (Satin Black) to refresh a steel bike carrier, and it performed brilliantly. Although it’s marketed for engines, it handled the job with no complaints—smooth application, even coverage, and a clean satin finish that looks sharp without being glossy. It dried quickly and didn’t require any special prep beyond a basic clean and scuff. No drips, no clogging, and no fuss. Brilliant product.
Very good stuff, I've used it on tools, car parts, tired looking brackets and suspension mounts. Handy you don't need a separate primer so saves a few time and a few quid. Good value as ever by Amazon.

Worked like magic
Marvellous stuff, had some deep scratches on my motorcycle engine, I filled the scratches first with JB Weld Epoxy Metal Filler, a fine wet and dry sand of the filled scratches. I then keyed the whole casing with fine grey scotch brite, masked everything up, and then 3 coats of Simoniz, more like 3 light mists..And voila..Like nothing happened!
