Permanent connection
These worked fine, and are painted bright red. Just to be clear, these are for permanent installation. Be sure to use a block of wood as a backdrop when you set the pin so you don't bang up the assembly. They are large and grade 80 so I have no doubt of the 12,000lbs. rating.

Works well
Husband reports this lifting chain connection link is working well for him. The links are made of steel, really solid and heavy, and have a maximum weight of 12,000 lbs, though that has not been tested here.
