Snoop's first and best album
It's kind of sad....his first album was his best. He could never top his teenaged self. Classic. All beats are fresh and all tracks are bangin'! This is one of the only older albums that REALLY holds up today and one of the only albums that I can still repeat over and over and not get bored with yet! It's crazy too because I've owned this thang for years and it never gets old.His flow, style, lyrics were all fresh and different. Later all would sadly fade in time (he still one of the only great rappers around anymore though and prolly my favorite) but this was somethin' else!Debatable as my fave album. It's just so damn FUNKAY!West uuuuuup!

I tried finding this classy CD in music stores but was never able to find it. Worth ordering in Amazon, this is a classic.

This album is what got gangsta rap main stream
This is the album that really kicked gangsta rap into the main stream. Dr. Dre came along and had tons of success with The Chronic but honestly I think a lot of people thought it was a fluke. When Snoop Dogg released 'Doggstyle' it did 2 things. First, it proved that Dr. Dre is no fluke, period. Second, it showed that rap mixed with RnB can be not only radio friendly but great to listen to. My personal favorite is 'Murder was the Case' although Gin and Juice got much more air play. Unfortunately none of Snoop's albums since has been at this level but that's really not a knock against him, when you put out a great album it's all but impossible to duplicate it. The only reason I don't listen to this album more is the language and lyrical content (it isn't fit, in my opinion, for my 2 year old to hear) When I do get a chance to listen to it, however, it sounds just as fresh as when it was first released over 10 years ago - give it a listen and pick up a copy.

Old good stuff
What can you say, this was the big Snoop Dog album that everyone wanted. Did I mention that was in high school and the cool part is, the music is still good. I hadn't listened to it in several years and after downloading it. I forgot how good it really was. There is some good stuff here, the kind of music you will be humming throughout the day. Whether you are a fan of old school rap, hip hop, rock, r&b, or any other style, this is good stuff. It's just plain and simple "Classic"

Great MusicGreat CD.Bought this after my entire music collection was thrown out by a bitter ex. Plus I had been procrastinating on re buying it for years. When I heard Snoop would be pulling them from shelves , I jumped at it. Glad I did
