Plastic Cutting Board, 8x10 Inch, White

Bought the set of 3 in Aqua, Gray, and Maroon. These cutting boards are described under "About This Item" as MEASUREMENTS: 8.5 X 11 inches, 9 X 13 inches, 11 X 16 inches 9.5mm thick. However, as soon as I received them I knew they were MUCH thinner than 9.5mm, they are actually less than half that thickness at 4.25mm as shown in the photo with a digital caliper. For those not familiar with the metric system, this is equivalent to 11/64 inch, or right in between 1/8 and 3/16 inch. All are the same thickness. For my needs, they are still perfect, actually better because they are lighter and take up less space. Yet they are still sturdy and durable enough to serve their intended purpose, provide protection to my granite countertop and withstand the cutting and chopping of meats and vegetables. I bought these because I had been using wood and bamboo cutting boards, but I was afraid that they had started to harbor bacteria as the surface became scored from use. These plastic boards are much easier to clean and disinfect, and can also go in the dishwasher. The different colors allow me to designate individual boards for beef, poultry, and vegetables to reduce the risk of cross-contamination. I also purchased a white one to have an additional board for prepping my dogs' food (my picky dogs won't eat much unless I add some real meat to their kibble and canned food). I like that I can easily hang them on hooks with the cutout handles. And if I need to tenderize meat, I can just put the plastic board on top of my old bamboo board to cushion the impact. This is a very nice set that should last many years, and the price was right. Very happy with my purchase!

Great cutting board, not porous and very firm. About the size of a standard sheet of paper. We love it.
