High quality but pricey
It was really nice that the plastic portion of the two powerpole sets were already mounted in the assembly and held in place with a pin. There are cheaper alternatives that are usually 3D printed and not so high in quality as this item.

Seems high priced for what it is.
It is good. You can change the color of powerpoles - I did.I used it in an ammo can to make a battery box. The lock-nut on the back does "strip-out" when you tighten it with only the thin metal can. So I bough some 1 1/8" x 14 gauge Machinery Bushings at Tractor Supply to make the "wall" thicker. I placed them on the inside of the can. That seemed to have worked well. After I was done I found where I had set aside the little spacer that came with it. I forgot it existed. I could have used it on the back perhaps instead of the machinery bushings. So it works. The other ports in my can are SAE ports. The pro for SAE is they may be better in the weather. The pro for the Anderson Powerpole port is that you can plug-in 2 devices in 1 of these ports. SAE is only 1 device per port so you have to drill more holes.I used a step drill bit to drill the holes.

Probably the easiest way to mount powerpoles to a surface.
It costs a lot more for this bulkhead mount (round) style connector than the equivalent square type from the same vendor, plus there is always the possibility that a round connector like this could eventually have the retaining nut back off, allowing the connector housing to loosen up.That being said, it's very easy to use one of these to replace an existing cigarette lighter type connection without any cutting or drilling. Even if you have to drill a hole, it's much faster to drill a quick 1-1/8" hole than to file out a square hole.Ultimately, you are paying for the convenience with this connector mount. If you want a quick and painless install, you will be very happy with one of these. If you don't mind making a square hole, and want to be sure that your connector won't work loose over time, then buy the square snap in style instead.I've used both styles, and they each have their place.

Expensive but great quality
I feel that most Anderson powerpole accessories are over priced, and this is no exception. But trying to make my own surface mount connector was too challenging. These are rigid and secure, look really nice, and mount easily. So far it has held up to dozens of insertions with no sign of wear.

Power Poles Rule!
Great product. Love the round hole mounting vs rectangle for other mountings. Always a perfect fit with a hole drill. Came with 30A contacts - I prefer the 45A contacts - tin not silver so no tarnish issues and easy to solder after crimp.Small and compact with dust cover a real plus.

Solid mount, good quality.
Other than the cost, these things are great. Excellent for projects and whatnot.Anderson rocks and this mount is solid.Comes with the silver/metal internal connectors for 30 amp connection.

Pricey for what it is
Like others have said, its a lot for what it is. That being said, it fits in the standard hole size and seems sturdy and well-made. Basically, it's your only option if you are working with 1 1/8 inch hole.
