Yes, I have used it with a commercial Italian dressing that has herbs. They must be finely chopped.

I don’t think so. Mine broke too. Had to discard shaker, sadly.

Eva Solo is a Danish Design company that was established 100 years ago. Their products are sold in many places that also sell Scandinavian designs for home and kitchen. I would guess that like many international companies, they probably manufacture their products in several places and some are likely imported from Denmark. I have not been able to find a definitive answer as to where this item is made. I can tell you that their products are of excellent quality. I purchased several Eva Solo products 6+years ago, and they all look and function today just as well as when they were new.
