I was surprised at how well it can charge from solar, even in the UK. It's June, so starting to get more sun, but even on cloudy days I'm still getting enough to reclaim the energy spent charging a few smart devices overnight. On a sunny cloudless day, I can easily charge the full battery as long as I rotate the panels at least every hour or two. I was expecting worse :).Do note that if you are expecting to get 1.5kWh (or 3kWh with the extra battery) from the AC plugs, you won't. DC and USB you'll get pretty close, but the AC inverter seems to take quite a bit of power just to simply enable the plugs, so for my CPAP, I have got a DC-DC converter instead of using the AC plug, which makes it a lot more efficient. I would not recommend expecting to use the AC plugs all night / day, unless you expect to be able to fully reclaim the power daily.Having said that, that issue will not likely be specific to this device, converting DC battery supply to AC isn't very efficient generally.

I've had this a couple of weeks now. I bought it to put in my caravan for when we camp without a hookup.Overall, it's good. The size is great - it fits neatly under the seats in the caravan.However, so far I've discovered a couple of idiosyncrasies that stop it getting 5 stars...Firstly, the UPS mode only works correctly if the battery isn't full. If the batter is full, there's a definite second or so delay for things to kick in after you remove mains power. So fairly useless for UPS.Secondly, the extra battery stops being detected once it is empty. So, as it uses the energy stored in the extra battery, it goes 52%, 51%, 50%, 99%. It then won't charge the additional battery unless you turn everything off and back on again. Again, this isn't great if you are using it as a UPS, or want to use it unattended. If the extra battery is connected, the whole thing turns off when it's full.From my testing, and what I've read elsewhere, I think most of the problems are due to the extra battery. With hindsight, I'd probably just buy 2 units instead of the extra battery.

Great product, and fantastic value as well. Bought as a bundle package with the 400w portable solar panel and an additional 1.5Kw battery pack. 3Kw power station that was at least £1000 cheaper than any alternative product. Like most, the only gripe is the display panel; it is far too dim and can not be easily seen, even under ambient light conditions. Fix that, and VTOMan will have cracked it. Whilst it will take years to pay back the investment, that isn't the point. I will power some house lights and my computer rig - I estimate it will save 50p a day. Doesn't sound much, but that is £180 a year, and it's green and gives you that overall smug feeling that you are at least doing your bit to save the planet.

Had a flash 1500 bought for me , wouldn't charge up properly or not at all. Sent back with sellers pre paid returns label. Went "missing" . Now being lied to and still no refund. Disgusting company. AVOID

Plugs in and just...works! Basically doubles the capacity of your FlashSpeed 1500 - discharges first (then main unit) and in reverse main unit charges first (then this expansion pack). Capacity-display handy on front, some USB-ports would have been handy but not essential. Great value if discounted.

I was looking for a portable power station my family can use in our camping trip. After researching different portable power stations I decided to go for the Vtoman1500X. At its price range and specifications this meets my family's needs. During unboxing, it revealed a well built, nice looking power station with very user friendly features. It's a bit on the heavy side though. It came with a user manual, car charger, an AC adapter charger and some USB cables packed inside a carrying bag. On a full charge (100% capacity) I was able to power (at different times) a 975 watts coffee maker, 1000W toaster oven, 1500W electric kettle, 1500W microwave and a vacuum 840W I used to completely clean our minivan. Not to mention a lot of charging of our tablets, laptops, phones and pocket power banks. This can really do the job it is expected to! Charging time from 3% - 100% was exactly 4 hours for me using the AC adapter. So far I'm happy and satisfied with this major purchase I made. Also Vtoman has an excellent customer service in my experience. John of Vtoman was very prompt and professional in dealing with my inquiries and questions. With a product this good and an excellent customer service, I'm already thinking of what will my next Vtoman product purchase be.

I purchased the the 1500w solar generator and a 100w solar panel for a great price. I have been looking for a solar generator for a few months before I bought this one. I knew I wanted something at least 1500w and LiFePO4 for batteries. I have heard of fire hazard of the lithium ion batteries and wanted to stay clear of those units and for my needs I wanted 1500w so I could run larger items. We have been using the unit camping with one solar panel and it is great on sunny days but on overcast days it needed a bit more so I purchased a second solar panel and that fixed all my worries with charging. If you want to use the unit while you are charging with solar the second 100w solar panel is a must. During the camping I powered a household bar fridge, charged cellphones, camping fans and few other electronics and it powered them perfectly without any problems. During the first 2 camping trips with only one 100w solar panel I did charge the power station for about 4 hours on an AC outlet more because we had overcast days with less solar energy coming in and I wanted to make sure I would get threw the night with no problems and as I said before the second solar panel fixed the need for AC charging. In the future I want to get the car booster cables and the extra battery as Vtoman has great sales if you keep an eye on things. Owning the solar generator over the last few months has been a game changer for using power around the house and at work too. I work maintenance and I take it to work to run around vacuuming vents with a shop-vac and I run our Makita compressor with no issues for 100% portable air. I was completely amazed that it could run the compressor as my large generator always trips the breaker. This is definitely a generator I would recommend I will continue to find new uses for. If you are seriously considering getting a solar generator, get this one you will not be disappointed and they also have great customer service.

I love this charging station. For a reasonably priced tool like this it can do a lot and expandable. You can charge with solar panels and add extended battery modules for longer Watt-hour support to you devices for the day. What I love on this is that it has an outlet for car battery jumper attachment. I can use this battery station to power shop vacuum and power tools. Having 2 PD usb-c outlets and quite enough USB-A and AC outlets allows for so many options on how to use it. It's about 15-20lbs so it's not meant to be something you carry at the hip but still portable in the sense of putting it on the floor to table and everyone comes to it for charging connectivity. Great camping option. My use case is usually short and small devices (Charging or running power tools for short period under 1hr, Charing phones and tablets, power a shop vacuum, power a portable tv and media player for 1/2 the day..etc) it has been very suitable. Being LiFePO4 was also the I was looking for because it would provided longevity over other lithium battery chemistry. I was originally eyeing on some of the better know established brands but this one offered the features, expansion options and longevity at an amazing cost! Well done Vtoman!

The unit was extremely well packaged, and I really commend you for protecting this unit during shipping!After unpacking, I was disappointed to find the jumper cables were not included (I did not recognize that when placing the order) So after researching I see they have extremely short cables and would be $40 to add on if I wanted to have them. With cables that short, I do not know if there’s any value even having them. I will watch to see if they bring newer ones out with longer cables in the future.My second disappointment is in the length of the car DC/cigarette cable charger. It is only about 42 inches long and extremely restrictive for me. The DC/cigarette cable that came with my refrigerator/freezer is 12 feet long!! Which is overkill but 42 inches is ridiculous in my opinion. I’m either going to have to buy a longer compatible cable or I’m going to have to put a DC outlet in my vehicle where I can reasonably use a cable this short.I like how you made the handle removable in the event you want to build it into an area or stack other things on top of it. I also like the cable carry case which keeps your cables protected/organized/secure.Otherwise, the unit looks very durable and I’ll update this summer after using it in the field.
