Baja Mex and they are great. Good feel
Bought these for a fishing trip to Sea of Cortez, Baja Mex and they are great. Good feel, not too tight or too loose with the right amount of stretch. I only wore them 5 days so we'll see how long they last and fit, but if only a season that's better than skin cancer or scaring off fish with sunblock scent (we were not fishing Bluefin Tuna on this trip, but they can be shy to sunblock on hands/bait). I had 50spf sunblock on my arms, and noticiable tan lines where the glove sleeve ended on my arm - so they are blocking the sun quite well. We also has small live mackerels for bait that were super slimy and slippery with bare hands - near impossible to hold outside the bait net. With these gloves it was wayyyy easier to grab and hold live bait. They rinse off quick, and have good grip on rod, reel etc. and a little line protection for casting a 20-30 size conventional using your thumb to prevent backlash. I'm buying another set as a backup, and some for my Dad too. I figure they're much more $$ than sunblock, but the grip factor for live bait is worth every penny. I did get heckled by everyone for wearing fancy looking gloves including folks on other boats, but at the end of the week I had the most weight in cleaned fish, and no sun burn/tan on my hands - so they shut it.

Great gloves for warm weather.
Pretty cool gloves. Every now and then my hooks get caught in them, so I don't foresee these holding up forever, but I like them enough to buy them every year or so. Honestly, I think ANY gloves intended for the purpose of fishing would fall apart after a while because you're touching fins, gill plates, possibly teeth, abrasive line, hooks, etc, that are all going to shred them, it's just going to take a while. If you're serious about protecting your skin, you probably will just buy more. Has nothing to do with the quality of the gloves, they seem well-made, it's just the nature of how they are going to be used.I wish they had a cool color scheme, such as camp or something, but these gray gloves pretty much go with anything and they don't get too in the way when I'm fishing. They will absolutely not keep you warm at all, because they're made of...I think nylon? Anyway, it's not a material that offers much warmth, and especially not after they get wet (because they will get wet, since you're fishing). Once they're wet, they actually keep your hands very cool, which would be great during summer months when it's very hot out. During the spring and fall, I wear a fingerless fleece set of gloves and it's thick enough it probably is protecting me from most UV rays, and keeping me warm at the same time. So, all in all, these gloves are well made, but you may have to replace them eventually anyway because nothing lasts forever, and don't wear them when it's cold out unless you want your fingers to go numb. They will be very comfortable on a hot day.

Very comfortable, but runs large and not crazy about the color
I purchased these gloves to wear outside in the summer and while in the car. They are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. They slide on easily. They do run large. It seems the sizing may be based on men's sizing rather than womens. I purchased a size smaller than what I would normally buy and they still are loose. It's not completely bad, because I think they will feel cooler in the summer since they do fit loosely.I do wish they had some sort of grip material on the palm side. I find that my hands slip on the steering wheel when I wear them driving. I'll probably buy a different brand specifically for driving for that reason.I am also not crazy about the color. It is more of a grey than a flesh tone. They are not very attractive for that reason. My husband jokes that I look like I should been selling poseys on the streets in London when I wear them. (I think he gets that idea from My Fair Lady.)In spite of the drawbacks of the gloves, I intend to wear them a lot when outside. They do the trick in protecting my hands against more sun damage.

Hands need sun protection too
After reading other reviews on UPF gloves, I decided to go with these bad boys. I do not like the feel of sunscreen on my hands, I do have stick sunscreen that I could use, but then the back of my hands would be all white and zinc-y. Instead I wear these and my friends look at me funny, but I will be the one laughing 20 years from now when they have spotted hands from the sun blazing through their windshield.I bought the XL size as I have fat hands, and the finger length is still rather long, but fit great and go a few inches past my wrist. My pinky finger is barely visible, but oh well. I thought these might make me lose grip on my steering wheel, but they grip fine. The stitching is quality on these, the only upgrade I would like is little rubber grippys on the palm side. Maybe for my next pair. I live in Texas and it's been 90F the last few days, which I've done more driving than usual, and I've had no problems with them feeling hot or suffocating. These are a good choice for a good lightweight glove.

Work well as Summer Hiking Gloves
I have gone through several pairs of these as my summer hiking gloves. I hike on rocky trails that sometimes require scrambling and these protect my hands from cuts. I also hike with trekking poles and wearing these protects against palm chafing and blisters (this does deteriorate the gloves, but I don't think they are meant for this purpose as they are meant to be lightweight.)Sun protection is a secondary consideration for me, but these certainly do that as well. Overall they are comfortable and fit well.

They are great, but why are they slightly pink?
I've owned several pairs of my old favorites, Glacier Gloves, and just bought a new pair this month. I would never hike in the desert without them, but this pair was slightly pinkish-lavender. No big deal, they aren't bright pink. I am keeping them, but I wonder why they aren't the usual light gray.
