great demo disk for new 4K OLED TV & 4K disc player
Earth: One Amazing Day (BD/UHD Combo) [4K UHD]: I bought this as a demo disk for my new 55" VISIO 4K OLED TV & 4K Panasonic disc player. It didn't disappoint. It loaded and played with no issues. Playback was smooth and the pictures were as vibrant and finely detailed as I'd hoped. The sound played through my mid-level amp just fine. This disk was well worth the price.

Great video not so much on the narrator
It was stunning, beautiful cinemaphotography, I just didn't like the narrators voice all that much. It wasn't National Geographic awesome, but it was pretty cool.

Dull and boring narration
Visually good but the narration was boring, dull and not believable. I muted video and played music:)

Visual Demo
The main reason for my purchase was to evaluate Dolby Vision in all its glory and this disk does not disappoint. The vivid colors and the black levels are outstanding. Texture detail is incredible.Atmos is great, all the subtle sounds are heard with precision and clarity. Although great, there are better videos/demos for sound testing.Tested on an LG CX and Panasonic UB820 through a Denon X3700H with 5.2.4.

Fun/Easy Nature Documentary
Some of the same footage from other BBC releases there are a couple of tremendous scenes and the overall quality is good… if you want an all-in-one self contained nature film appropriate for family viewing this is a good place to start. It lacks the depth of the other BBC series but makes up for that with breadth, an overall fun and easy experience.

Not impressed at all
If you havent seen Planet Earth 2 and want an amazing 4K experience then i would recommend grabbing that and skipping this.I bought this to showcase the Dolby Vision of my new 65" LG as this title is one of the few that contains the 12bit colour scale and wish i hadnt bothered. The 4K quality of this title is sub par and no where near as crisp and vibrant as the aforementioned. There are possibly 2 or 3 scenes in this that look amazing but that's it, there also appears to be some of the same scenes in this as Planet Earth 2.My advice, even at £12.99 is to give this one a miss, also, narrated by Robert Redford!!! This is another reason to never consider this.

Stunning, but not original
I bought this because I absolutely love documentaries, especially since the advent of UHD which brings unparalleled clarity to nature. Certainly this is true in this case: the picture is perfect. The problem is, this documentary is just re-cycled footage from a combination of various other BBC documentaries. Perhaps there is some original footage in here too, but most of it isn't. Unfortunately this is just another example of the BBC being incredibly cheap with their production... recycling documentary footage is something they do all too well.

Sound v Image.
This 4K Ultra HD, Earth, one amazing day is really special. It has all that you would expect from the BBC Natural history and others. Picture quality is superb, faultless, subject matter, well all I can say is congratulations to all involved in the making of this magnificent programme. Less inthusiastic is in the sound track, narrator, Robert Redford, is adiquate, just, the music beautifully composed and played. One complaint however. the music is so overwhelming and loud that virtually nowhere in the film could you hear the narration. This totally spoiled the enjoyment of this Disc. I have all the latest 4K equipment so there was no problem there. Hence only 3 Stars.David Warr, Cheltenham.

OK
The 4K ULTRA HD Blu Ray disc version of this film has greatly improved sound and picture quality over the standard Blu Ray disc version when played through a ULTRA HD Blu Ray player and a 4K ULTRA HD TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range).About 25% of the film is taken from the Planet Earth 2 4K ULTRA HD BLU RAY discs released earlier on so that's why I dropped a star.I do not like stuff being re hashed then put out again on a new release, but this is worth the cost for the other new 75% of footage in 4k and HDR (High Dynamic Range)!!!

Stunning image quality
It’s a collage, a resume of other documentaries of BBC, but a true AV enthusiast can’t miss it owing to the Dolby Vision upgrade, I watched it on a LG C8 (stunning television) with a LG UBK 90 (budget player but with Dolby Vision out of the box). Once you’ll watch it with a LG C8 but with one of the new two Panasonic, UB 820 or UB 9000, it will be amazing. P.S. Audio is stunning!
