Jamie Oliver - The return of the naked chef
Jamie Oliver produces unique recipes with basic ingredients and simple presentations. I would recommend this interesting collection to those who like comfort food.

Yum!
My husband and I have made many of the delicious recipies in this book. We have had the pleasure of enjoying the lamb curry, the fantastic roasted chicken, the roasted fillet of beef rolled in herbs and wrappped in prosciutto, risotto of radiccio, bacon, rosemary and red wine, linguine with pancetta and clams (one of my favorites) and the strawberries marinated in balsamic - just to name a few. They were all simple to make and turned out wonderfully. One of the things that I like about the recipes in this book is that they are almost fool proof; even if you make a litte mistake, they are still going to turn out great. An older copy of this book is called The Naked Chef Takes Off. Both books have the same picture on the front and contain the exact same content, but the publisher has now changed the title for some reason (a complaint of the previous reviewer). With unique and delicious recipes, this book is a must buy if you don't already own it under the old title!

WARNING: Identical to "Naked Chef Takes Off"
I don't know if this book preceded the other Jamie Oliver book, "Naked Chef Takes Off," but it's the SAME BOOK.I bought this for my wife, thinking I'd found a J.O. book she didn't already own. It's the same, identical book! I suppose it's just the British market title, but don't make the mistake if you're thinking it's a different book.AMAZON STAFF: There should be some mention that this book was released with the different title in the States.

Maddening unnecessary complexities, confusion
Jamie Oliver is a fine marketer of a culinary brand, but this book's recipes are horribly edited. Expect to jump recipe steps and even to turn pages to other recipes to find critical clues to successfully execute the meal. Yep, I have bigger expectations of a man so committed to putting good food on the table. The result has been a series of frustrating episodes in the kitchen, maddeningly close to creating great food, but producing unworkable product.

probably need to make a combined book for both Naked Chef books
I like naked chef books but feel it is a time to combine both and make a new book. I feel one of them only is not quite enough, but notwanting to have both because it is similar. I like mary's saturday dumpling soup a lot!

Naked Chef 2
Back in the day when Delia was Queen along came an upstart into our (young people's) home. He had cooked at the Neal Street Restaurant and River Café in London and he loved Italian food. Naked was easy to follow, hassle free, largely gadget free and produced fantastic results for all that tried. There are some great recipes here and lots are still worth cooking. In this classic Penguin livery it looks fantastic on the bookshelf too.

Bit heavy on the fishy stuff
Bought this for some inspiration having heard rave reviews over the years. In honesty I will probably only cook about four to five of the recipes. To be fair to Jamie Oliver I not a great fish fan, mainly because really fresh fish is so hard to find. So I had to knock a star off for that. Other might not.

A book you shouldn't miss
This is just as great as all the other books - easy, delicious recipes that actually work in normal life. You'll find some really new, inspiring recipes for pasta and risotto ... One of my favourites is the "salmon fillet wrapped in prosciutto with herby lentils, spinach and yoghurt" (tasty and moist). The book is also great, if you're planning to make your own pasta but don't know exactly how: Jamie explains this in detail. I would recommend this book to everyone!
