Works like a charm.
I already had the non Wifi version of this hooked to my power lines for Ethernet.I just wanted a simple way to extend the regular Wifi into another area of the house. This worked perfectly. The only thing that takes a bit of time is changing the default SSID and password to a custom one.

Pretty good performance
This was pretty easy to install. I wasn't able to replicate the wifi name from my router, but it could have been due to a traditional repeater already in use. It wasn't a big deal to me, so I didn't pursue it. The connection has been very stable over the last 2 months, although I have seen a drop in speed of about 40% when used for wifi compared to wifi from the router when in normal range. Although disappointing, this drop hasn't affected performance for my use case. If you have a fairly low speed from your ISP, it's something you should probably consider.

NOTHING COULD BE EASIER!
I bought this unit yesterday. This is the easiest electrical device I've ever put used. It literally took me all of 5 minutes to do it. I've now been rewarded with FAST internet speeds throughout the house and the pleasure of owning an electrical device that has lived up to every promise. With this device you only need ONE wifi name and password - that automatically comes from your wifi router - no computer app setup at all - just connect a wire and push a couple of buttons and plug the 2nd module where the wifi signal is the worst and you're done. Afterwards as you travel through your house, you'll not have to switch your various devices to the extender wifi network, AND, if you have a remote desktop, the second module can be plugged in next to you computer and you can run an ethernet cable from the module to your computer. It's EASY!I wish that I had bought one of these units YEARS ago. No more buffering while watching movies or YouTube. It's almost as easy as plugging your telephone into a wall jack. This is an AAAAA+++++ product!

Personal Experience
It does exactly as it's described. Easy to read instructions and installation. If you happen to know the wiring layout of your home then it should be easily convenient to know where to install these devices. The only problem on my end that I've notice is that the socket must be cleared as much as Possible (no extension cords, the less plugs in the walls, the better). The system will not work if there are too many things plugged into the outlets on both end to make this work. As noted earlier, its good to know the wiring of your place if possible because not all sockets share the same wiring so for me I had to set up my system a bit further than where I hope to install. The PROs to this is that it's dual band and does well in amplifying signals. Great enough to run a zoom meeting and play games and stream movies or shows. The cons Is that those signals kept dipping and going off and on due to electrical interference. If you're looking for a solid wifi extender, I'd recommend looking into a mesh wifi system.

I'm greatly disapointed that this powerline Wi-Fi extender doesn't work.
My router/Wi-Fi access-point is located near the West end of my home. Two of my three PCs are locate near the East end of my home, so I wanted to improve the Wi-Fi signal strength there. This powerline Wi-Fi extender seemed to be the best option for me because it uses the power line in my home to connect a base unit (connected to my router via Cat5/6 cable) to an included remote Wi-Fi unit. When I connected the base unit to my router and plugged it into a nearby power outlet, the LED indicators indicated "Green" - a good connection and proper functionality. I then plugged the remote unit into an outlet at the East end of my home and no LED indicators lit up at all. I moved the remote unit to two other power outlets (both of which I know to be working correctly) with the same result so I returned it for an exchange. When the replacement arrived, I had the exact same experience so I returned it for a refund. I've since found a different solution for the signal strength issue at the East end of my home. Because of my experience, I won't buy from Tenda again and I can't recommend their products to anyone else either. This has been my experience. YMMV, but I wouldn't count on it,Ernie

didn't work everywhere, but probably not the fault of the device
We had two spots where we wanted wifi, but where an older (pre-AV2 standard) powerline adapter I bought a few years ago would not connect. One was our porch, and here the Tenda AV1000 kit worked well. (It even worked on a 6ft extension cord but the speed dropped sharply.) The other spot is our detached garage, in order to get wifi to our cars' head units. This device would not pair there, even after I bypassed the GFCI. However, the power line is ~100ft of old buried cable, and who knows how well shielded it is, so I can't really blame Tenda. One thing to note is that the power pins are positioned close to one edge, such that the other outlet in a pair of wall power outlets remains available. Many TP-Link and other models will wholly or partially cover the second outlet. The internal web page of the Tenda is almost identical to similar pages for TPLink devices, so possibly these devices are all made by the same people in China. One can connect to this configuration web page easily, without the contortions required by some other manufacturers.

worth the money and a bit of effort.
I am very surprised. I heard of this tech years ago but was skeptical. I installed it at first on an outlet in the back room perfect open location for the entire room,no signal .tried another outlet in same room i got signal but behind the bed so signal was 15 Mbps ,better than 2 Mbps i was getting before. But I really wanted the other outlet and trial and error in the apt. The electrical seems to divide the apt in two sides so I adjusted the feed location in the living room to the outlet corresponding to my back room and boom my speeds jump to 54Mbps which if excellent from my 100Mbps in the modem( wifi aways cuts in half) so I am very Happy with this product.
