I have three of these setup throughout my home. the picture is crystal clear even motion is pretty good. I like the O-Kam app on my phone and ipad. now when I am traveling I can check on our house at any time, anywhere. I have a temp monitor set up near one of the camera and I can verify temperature and humidity in my house as well. Each of the moveable cameras have 5 presets you can use to look at specific places. very handy. I haven't really used the humanoid recognition or alarm features, but I suspect they would work fine. I also like the microphone allowing you to hear and or speak in the area. I had some earlier versions of these VStar cams I bought in 2011, I decided to retire and upgrade them, but they were still working after more than 10 years.

I bought this camera because it said wireless but it needs to be constantly plugged in, that is not wireless at all.

I am not very tech savvy. I got the VSTARCAM Outdoor Security Camera Dual Lens Camera for our front property. I didn't realize it needed to be plugged into an outlet. It was too much of a hassle for me to set it up, so my son took it for his home. As long as you have an outlet nearby, its doable. It can be hardwired to a modem or used wirelessly with wifi.The picture quality is very good in both the day and night time. The camera has a 360° view and scans whenever movement is detected. The voice is a bit annoying. The set up is pretty simple once it is installed. It's a pretty simple camera, nowhere near "high tech" now that I have watched it in action at my son's house. Value for the money is good.

Having used several brands of security cameras in the past, the main drawback I found was the need for a subscription to the monitoring or cloud recording.With this , you can locally record to a memory card and if interested, can subscribe to the cloud storage.Additionally, this unit comes with a set of two cameras built into one- a pan and tilt camera as well as the bullet camera.You can add way points to do surveillance as well as choose a pre positioned point as a constant focus- An additional feature that is not existent on some branded cameras.Overall the camera features are great and it is a breeze to set it up.recommend it.

With all the good reviews on this camera I kinda hate to dump on it but....this cam sucks. First, I had one of these last all of one day then stopped responding no matter what I tried and I'm fairly technologically savvy so I tried everything I knew and it was just dead. (it was plugged in A/C power while setting up and trying to diagnose why it wouldn't respond btw) Got a replacement, installed it and after one day, you guessed it, it also stopped responding. I was a little concerned about the distance from the house but for one, the first camera was mounted right above our front door and two, even with the second cam on the pole near the house, it's still twice as close as the cam in the pic is to the home on it's website. Nowhere on the website or users manual does it state a range for this camera. As high as this cam is mounted I haven't yet gone through all the diagnostics....again....but I'm pretty much done with it. Even when both cams were working they were very glitchy, the second cam had to be reset three times before it would even read the QR code necessary to complete installation. Spend more, get a better cam.

Not recording at times , with no memory card install

We have a pretty decent size back yard, but we also have a pretty full deck area and we wanted to be able to see the entire backyard but also be able to look around on our deck during significant weather - especially when we were out of town. We had always anticipated we would just get 2 cameras, but then we saw this product.While we don’t use a lot of the lighting and talk back features, the cameras have served their purpose above and beyond what we could anticipate. Having an always static wide feed and the dynamic second feed has been perfect for what we needed in our backyard. The only reason for 4 stars is the distance for connectivity - we ended up having to put a repeater near the back door for the camera to work well. Considering we had other cameras on the back porch prior to this purchase and they worked well and streamed well, that is the only concern I have had with this product.

This security camera has helped so much in keeping track of all the critters that keep coming around the yard. The motion detection is awesome, catches almost every movement. Works great with my android phone and keeps me alerted all night with all the activity in the yard. Easy to set up outside and connect with my phone.
