Doesn't hold pressure although seal is in place. Unit came with zero paperwork so no manual to reference. Amazon supplied company contact info but when I emailed company, received no response.

The media could not be loaded. When you just want to cook a single portion instead of a family sized one, this is perfect. It uses less energy to heat up and pressurize than a standard sized pressure cooker. The metal is shiny and easy to clean. The little thingy at the top (that controls steam release while cooking) doesn't seem to come off, so you'll never lose it. On the other hand that does make it a little trickier to clean.On most pressure cookers, there's a mechanism that you can look at to tell if the pressure has gone down enough to open the lid yet. This one has something similar, though it's more of a locking mechanism than a visual indicator. I was peering at it, trying to determine if it was done, and it was really hard to tell because it stays recessed in a hole, even when pressurized. It would be nice if I could tell at a glance whether I should bother trying to open it yet.
