Is this an actual Max Power Point _TRACKING_ controller? Or is it based on the Consonance CN3722 IC that approximates MPP but is not tracking

Hello, our company's MPPT controller is not based on the constant voltage tracking algorithm of the CN3722 IC. This algorithm simply maintains a constant voltage in the PV system to approximate the maximum power point, but it may result in significant power losses and cannot adapt well to environmental changes. Instead, our company utilizes the perturb and observe method, which tracks the maximum power point by continuously comparing neighboring points. This method effectively adjusts the operating parameters to achieve optimal power output. is this mppt charge controller temp compensation ?

Yes, it has a temperature probe sticking out of the housing. Not a inside temperature probe like some controllers claim, that's ridiculous.

What is the largest gauge wire can be used for output and how to connect? Crimp ferrule on?

The wire or cable ends that go to the battery are screw terminals so no connectors are involved. I think that the maximum size wire that will fit securely is 10AWG. I stripped a 10 AWG solar cable and inserted the stranded wire and it was about 90% of the opening diameter.

Can I use this without a battery just for direct load?

No never hooked a solar panel directly up to your batteries you'll fly your batteries that's what I charge controllers for it's the controller charger that's the solar panels give the batteries it keeps you it keeps your system from overcharging your batteries and ruining them. 9ⁿ
