MONARCHChamois Microfiber Kimono Hotel Robe - Lightweight Absorbent Soft Spa Bathrobe Cypress
R**W
Comfortable
Discovered the comfort of a micro fabric robe during a hotel stay and had to have it! Ordered this robe when I returned home and love it. Comfortable OSFA fit, light weight, and fabric feels great on the skin. This robe is not a big bath towel or plush warm blanket, it's a comfortable cover in a warm environment. Like the style and the gray color looks great.

Runs a touch large but is PERFECT!! - I LOVE IT!
Let me start by saying that this robe runs a bit large, but for me it is PERFECT. I am typically a 4x women's (26/28), occasionally breaching into 5x (30/32) for some items. I feel like even a solid 5x could wear this though, very comfortably. I rated it "somewhat large" because I probably could have even fit in their 3x comfortably, and seeing reviews showing it "a touch large" was part of what helped me decide to try this robe in the first place. Now that I got size out of the way, let me just say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS ROBE!! It is so perfect for me. I had recently tried (and sent back) a different robe (Ekouer or a similar name) that was black and satiny. I ordered it in my size only to learn that for them, "4x" meant size 20! Not happening. In fact, most robes I looked at had sizes indicating "Runs somewhat small" or "Too small". I would see reviews where women would rate a robe 5 stars and say they ordered "1 size up" and it was just right, but proceed to state that they were size 22 or something. Again, not happening.Honestly, I didn't really want a satin robe because that wouldn't be so sensible for getting out of the shower. I also didn't want a thick terrycloth robe that would be too warm.Did I mention this robe is absolutely perfect for me?This robe is thin, somewhere around double the width of t-shirt material but thick enough to be warm. I anticipate it being cool enough to wear most warmer days, and warm enough to wear on a cold day after getting out of the shower. The fabric is a "microfiber" and it feels almost reminiscent of a faux suede, only without as much pronounced texture. It's very soft and smooth. The belt for the robe is equally generosly sized, and the length is down to mid-calf. I am about 5'8" if that helps. If you are short, this robe might hang pretty long on you.The sleeves also hit about where I would expect - I think others were saying they are 3/4 sleeves and that makes sense. I couldn't hide my hands in them but they weren't "short" either. The stitching seems very good, very solid and high quality for everything except MAYBE the belt loops. I don't know if the belt loops are sturdier than they seem or if you have to handle them a bit delicately. Either way, it is extremely minor. Also, one of the loops is divided into 2 and I have no idea why (if you know, feel free to tell me - I'm a robe virgin). It doesn't affect the use of the belt, either way.The only thing I am not so keen on is the color - an extremely minor detail. I would have preferred black or some dark color to eliminate any risk of visible staining but that wasn't available (at least not in my size). For $28 I don't know how you could possibly find a better robe. The TL;DR version of this review is BUY THIS ROBE! I don't think anyone could regret it unless you are short and/or very thin.

This is the same brand that fine spas throw their logo on!
This is perfect… Lightweight. It is the right size it’s foldable. It comes with a belt and it’s very comfortable even in the cold.

This robe would be perfect if it had long sleeves and a longer body ...
This robe would be perfect if it had long sleeves and a longer body length. Reading the reviews, I saw a few customers mentioned it had 3/4 sleeves. The photo with the product though, shows full length sleeves & a low shin length body. That's very misleading, One of these days I'll learn to believe reviewers instead of product photos, I guess. In actuality, the sleeves are even shorter than 3/4 length. They came to just below my elbow joint. The robe itself does not actually run small. I am 5'5", 140 lbs., usually wear a woman's size 10 (sometimes 12 in pants) & ordered the OSFM/large. Since it is unisex sizing I figured it would be roomy, as I like robes to be & it is. There's plenty of fabric to wrap around my body, to sit without exposing private areas & is very comfortable. It's just too short. I do not have long limbs. I'm average height (for an American woman) & my arms, legs, trunk are proportional. The sleeves reached my elbow (just covered the elbow) & the robe came to about 2 inches below my knee cap.Otherwise, this robe would be exactly what i was looking for. I've searched extensively for a true microfiber robe, & learned a lot! Beware what companies call microfiber! TRUE microfiber is a polyester/polyamide combination fabric. The polyamide is the fiber that absorbs moisture so excellently. So if you need water absorbency, you need the polyamide fibers, Then there's split loop microfiber & peached microfiber, The split loop microfiber is what those great cleaning clothes are made of. The ones that catch on dry skin & don't feel smooth to the touch when dry. Peached microfiber is smooth & soft, doesn't catch on skin, & feels a lot like ultrasuede fabric. This robe is made of TRUE PEACHED MICROFIBER! Believe me when I tell you how hard it is to find a robe of this quality fabric under $100. If only it was longer.I have a medical condition (cervical nerve damage & degenerative disk disease) that causes constant pain. Even toweling off after a shower worsens my pain due to bending & using my arms. I have a great Lands End terry cloth robe that I've been using for drying off after showers which works great but is too heavy. Simply moving that weight to put on worsens my pain. So, with microfiber being so light weight, I figured this microfiber robe would solve that problem. It would too, if it were long enough.I tested its absorbency when I received the robe & tried it on by wetting my elbow with water.(Side note: I tried the robe on over my clothes & it was plenty roomy. I also received it within two days from ordering.) It absorbed that water immediately & then dried within seconds. After less than a minute, I couldn't even see where the water had been absorbed on the robe, it was that quick drying! In a nutshell, if you're looking for a super-absorbent, super light weight, luxurious feeling but not full length robe for after swimming or hot tubbing, etc., this would be perfect for you. I've contacted the seller to ask if they have this robe in a longer length to suit my needs.Hope this helps someone! UPDATE: The seller does not have this robe in full length. They claimed this robe has long sleeves & is full length. Oh well. At least they responded to my question quickly. I have still not found a full length robe in this fabulous true microfiber(it's now Dec 2016) Has any one else seen such a robe? Thanks in advance!

This Monarch Cypress chamois microfiber robe is light, super soft, and feels luxurious to me
My local hospital had this type gown in white (not the charcoal I ordered) and I was so impressed with the quality of it that I contacted the company and ordered two robes. I ordered this one in charcoal and the Monarch/Cypress Unisex Plush Lined Microfiber Robe Large, in White . I use this charcoal robe in the summer and the lined white one for when I want a little extra warmth or plushness. These robes are more luxurious than my terry robes in the sense that this chamois robe is a lot softer even though it's thinner than my terry robes. They run on the large side which is the way I like it. The large fits like an extra-large and feels roomy to me.
