Purchased for harman p68 c
So i have a harman p68c that ive had about 4 winters. I put no less than 6 tons of pellets every winter and i run this bad boy alllll day every day. on high and medium. I noticed my previous feeder motor had a drop of oil leak from it. Thats all i need to see to make a swap. I have no idea if the original part is broken or not so im just swapping it. It literally is just one nut to loosen and you have to remove the bracket from your old motor and put it on your new motor. Its only 3 screws...One thing to consider before you put the motor on is to look at the plastic fan on your new motor..If you place it down on something to tighten the screws...your fan will be pushed in closer to the motor and the plastic blades will hit the motor as it spins. Just take a small flat head screw driver and gently pry the fan blades away from the motor until you see the stem in the center of the fan blade sit flush with the fans internal ring that the stem comes out from.

We have a Harman PF100 pellet furnace, that during the winter is our primary heat source. This order is our second in 17 years. The reliability is remarkable, given the amount of time it works in our 6 months of cold weather. Pellethead has been our is our go to outlet, for all things related to our pellet furnace. Pellethead and Amazon make an unbeatable team.

Awesome replacement auger motor. Good quality, silent operation.
Great replacement auger motor, about half the price of local sources. I was happy to find such a great and quiet replacement for my obsolete pellet stove. I'll definitely be getting another of these if I need it.

The best of it's type.
It's the only brand that I've seen that uses a ball bearing to support the back armature journal. Others use a bronze bushing, (sleeve bearing), that wears out, allowing the armature to drop a bit and contact the field laminations, thus stalling the motor rotation. I've got several of the " bushing" style gearmotors sitting uselessly on a shelf in the basement.Update, 4-21-2022: still using Gleason Avery motors for at least ten years, and have never had a failure.I start my Kernel Burner™ furnace in mid November, and typically run it until mid to late April, 24 hours a day. I installed this central furnace in 2014, and used it that whole winter as well. I also have a Gleason Avery in the Winrich™ pellet stove on the first floor. Never a problem with any of the three motors in the two pellet machines. My thanks to Gleason Avery for building a superior product.
