K5 PRO 400g Viscous Thermal Paste for Thermal Pad Replacement Liquid Pad Putty Compatible with Apple iMac, Asus ROG, Acer Nitro, MSI laptops, RTX 3080, 3090, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, CSGR

I purchased this back in December 2021 to try on an RTX 3090 after LinusTechTips made a video on it, the promise of K5-Pro is that it will better conform to surfaces and conduct heat better than traditional thermal pads and you won't need to worry about thermal pad thickness or compressibility (hardness rating), which can interfere with GPU die contact (e.g. your memory temps improve but your GPU core temps increase)I purchased this 400g tub and applied a very liberal amount of K5-Pro to the memory and power delivery components, 3-4mm of K5-Pro for a 1.5-2mm gap, this was to ensure I used an adequate amount of K5-Pro, ensuring proper contact and fitment.End results were very disappointing, temperatures were around 30c hotter than Gelid GP-Extreme thermal pads and around 5c hotter than the generic 3W/mK pads the card shipped with, resulting in the GDDR6X temperatures exceeding 110c and the card throttling.K5-Pro is also incredibly difficult to remove from a PCB once applied, after much research, trial and error and about 5 hours of cleaning I was able to restore the PCB to former glory using a lot of white spirit, 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, an ultrasonic cleaner with both mentioned chemicals and some ESD brushes.K5-Pro might be suitable for low powered ICs and power delivery components on phones, laptops and other low powered devices, but I would absolutely not recommend this product for any modern GPU with GDDR6X or GDDR6 memory.I would recommend sticking with regular thermal pads or buy a higher rated thermal putty.

Buena relación precio calidad es muy densa hace su función, aunque un poco tosca a la hora de aplicarla, se desperdicia más cantidad que las vienen en formato jeringa pero aún así puedes aplicarlo a muchos componentes
