A must
This is such a great pre-step to sunless tanning. It makes my dryer areas not grip to the DHA (DHA loves dry skin!) and prevents patchiness. I used to work at a tanning salon and we recommended this— helps balance skin pH, moisturizes, and I think it probably makes your sunless product develop a little quicker. It is essential!

Best Self Tanner I've Used!
I've used many self tanners. I was recently going to get spray tans, but read that the fumes are harmful. The tanning salon sells this stuff, so I decided to try it. It's the same brand that they use in their tanning machine. I can honestly say that it's the best self tanner I've used for the following reasons:Smells goodGoes on light and dries quicklyHas a light tint to it so that you can see where you are applying itFeels like a moisturizer when you apply itColor looks natural, not orangeI use it three days in a row for a SUPER dark tan, but one application a week should be enoughIt fades naturally. Other products come off patchy, making you look weird.I'm glad that I found it on Amazon. It's my favorite. I just ordered the #3 tan extender, but haven't used it yet so I can't review it, but I will as soon as I try it.

Tan primer
I don't know that it made my tan last longer but I felt moisturized so that was nice.

Simply the best~
This is absolutely the best there is. I have long given up baking in the sun or using the tanning beds. I have been in search of the perfect sunless tan product. I have tried everything on the market, from the inexpensive to the pricey, so I know what's out there. Well after trying the rest I have settled on the best. The color is wonderful, no more orange. I kept trying to convince everyone that orange was the new tan, but they weren't buying it. Now I no longer have to keep up that charade (it was getting exhausting). To those of you that think this is messy, let me offer a suggestion. Use surgical gloves to apply. Spray directly on the glove and rub into the areas you want to tan. No more mess. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed in this product. Thanks go out to California Tan for making such a great product.

Good price, ok product
I'm not sure if the product inside the bottle is the same as what is sold in tanning salons but it is way cheaper. The price is good and the lotion smells nice. Although, it tends to dry out your skin. I notice a few hours after I apply the lotion, it feels like I need more. I don't notice the bronzer's either. The lotion tint is not as dark as I was expecting. Compared to VersaSpa Tan Extender Lotion (which I also own), it does not compare. I, in the future, will probably spend more $ on the VersaSpa brand products because you get what you pay for. If you are tight on money, this product is a good replacement because it is half the price. It definately beats store bought brands of tinted moisterizers because it doesn't contain Mineral Oil, which can streak spray tans. As for a seller review, product arrived fast and had no problems.

Buy it!
I'm a natural red head with fair skin. Since getting pregnant with my son 8 years ago, my pigmentation has changed greatly and i dont change color at all in the sun or even in tanning beds so I've tried every sunless tanner in the stores and even paid $60/ week for mystic tans. In an effort to save money but preserve vanity, I tried this lotion. I no longer need to pay for Mystic sessions! I save about $180/ month because one bottle of this last me about a month with application every other day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Not for Amateurs
I would have given it 3 stars but I can't get my money back, so that upset me. I'm very good with mass-market/drugstore brand self tanners, thought I was ready for this product. Oh, how wrong I was.The Good:- Color is PHENOMENAL. My tan had faded, and this product still looked great on my pale skin.- It's a good size for what you pay. You pay $10 for the Neutrogena/L'Oreal sprays and you don't get a comparable quantity of product. The Bad: - It comes out of the spay as a thick, drippy, goopy liquid that almost instantly forms drops which run down your skin and streak. And there's nothing you can do because if you try to rub it in (as your instincts will tell you to do), you'll end up wiping the tan off the spot you want it and right into the palms of your hands = orange hands and streaky tan. - It takes forever to dry. My skin felt sticky for over an hour. And don't even think about being able to touch anything. Did you happen to bump into the bathroom sink shortly after spraying? Too bad, now the sink has a spray tan, too. - You absolutely will see every single drop of product that doesn't hit your skin because it will turn your environment orange. By my estimation, you would need a Dexter-style plastic-draped room to avoid any collateral damage. Although, since everything turns orange immediately, you can quickly see what needs to be cleaned and do it before the product dries.

Best Sunless Tanner On The Market
I’ve tried several sunless tanners. I keep coming back to California Tan. I’ve used Fakebake and Rodan + Fields and many OTC sunless tanners as well. This is simply the best on the market. No streaks, no orange. I get compliments evertime I use it. People actually think I have been in the sun. It looks that natural. Lasts 2-3 days before I need to reapply. Only downside is I wish it would last longer. But lasts as long as any on the market without looking fake. I highly recommend this sunless tanner.

Clear gel, unsure if it works
Being honest, I bought it because it was one of the cheapest. Ive previously used expensive creams from my tanning salon and Im fed up of paying out the money. I cant decide if this actually works or if I'd have had the same results using nothing. Being a clear gel, it doesnt tint your skin, doesmt prevent burning, and doesnt moisturise. But saying that, I'll carry on using it as I feel I SHOULD be using something before climbing onto the sunbed. A good cheap alternative maybe.
