Great wallet for the price! Perfect gift for him.
Great wallet, highly recommend— the perfect gift. I got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it. The wallet is super compact and slick looking. It holds as many cards as you need it too, and also comes with a money clip. It looks so much sharper than his old wallet and is high quality. Great wallet for the price.

The first thing I noticed…
In my pursuit to find the best slim wallet, I explored several options available on Amazon, eventually comparing three specific models: The Ridge Wallet, the Havenhurst Slim Wallet, and the Extremus Tactical Wallet. The first thing I noticed was the weight or rather how light the Ridge Wallet is compared to the other two.Starting with the budget-friendly choices, the Havenhurst Slim Wallet is priced at approximately $24.99. It boasts a carbon fiber construction, making it a durable and efficient choice for those seeking simplicity and functionality. Following closely, the Extremus Tactical Wallet, at around $29.99, offers a robust build quality with a slightly different aesthetic appeal, yet remains a strong contender for those prioritizing practicality. However, the question arises: does The Ridge Wallet justify its $149 price tag compared to its more economical counterparts? My personal and other reviewers’ experiences suggest it does. The Ridge Wallet as stated stands out in part due to its lightweight design, even when loaded with 12 cards, it feels lighter than both the Havenhurst and Extremus wallets, the latter even when empty. This was noticeable despite not having precise weight measurements. The decision to invest in The Ridge Wallet’s Forged Ember model stemmed from a desire for not just functionality but exceptional design and quality. The Ridge Wallet’s craftsmanship and the materials used in its construction are noticeably superior, contributing to its sturdy feel and refined finish. This quality extends to its presentation and packaging, which eclipse those of its competitors, offering a more premium unboxing experience. While the Havenhurst and Extremus wallets deliver on functionality and durability at a more accessible price point, The Ridge Wallet distinguishes itself through its meticulous design, superior material quality, and enhanced user experience. It caters to those who value both form and function in a wallet, possibly seeking to make a style statement as well.In conclusion, if your focus is purely on practicality and cost-effectiveness, both the Havenhurst and Extremus wallets are commendable options. However, for those drawn towards a blend of high-end craftsmanship, design, and a dash of exclusivity, The Ridge Wallet proves to be a worthwhile investment despite its higher price point.

It’s a bit fiddly at first
Initially I am impressed by the simple design and execution. It’s very slick. I got the ocean, which is carbon fiber with the blue flecks of aluminum. That brings me to my only criticism. The blue is tiny bits, not the same as the black carbon fiber shreds which are larger. It looks kind of like it was sprinkled with blue salt. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s not what the picture looks like either. I don’t intend to return it over that but I knocked off a star. Represent. As far as functionality, I am adapting to the daily usage. It disappears in the pocket which is nice. I really like the cash strap which I didn’t think I would. It came with the money clip included which I thought I would prefer, but after using it both ways I removed the clip. Btw, you can use both simultaneously, something I never saw in the advertisements. It adds to the bulk a good deal tho.Overall, I’d recommend the Ridge to anyone who wants to try to streamline their edc. It’s a bit pricey, but it is excellent design. For me that takes a lot of the sting out of it. I don’t mind paying a premium for premium design. I still get a little flustered whenever I have to dig around to find my drivers license, but I think that’s just a matter of getting used to the thing. It’s small, which is a good thing, but my fingers sometimes don’t work like they should when I’m holding a small smooth item. I’m sure I’ll adapt.I like the way the elastic holds everything together with the ideal amount of tension. That aspect of the design is very well tuned. It’s a good secure hold but still easy to operate. I am not worried about anything accidentally falling out. I find myself carrying eight or nine cards, what with all the necessary ids, permits, atms etc. There is definitely more capacity should one need it.I am not really sure how much I need the RFID protection, but it’s good to know it’s there anyway.
