Nice Homeowner Safety Readers
These are exactly what my title says. Perfect for any typical homeowner that needs a pair of safety reader glasses to keep in the garage, or workshop for occasional use. Full lens reader capability, not just a partial bifocal lens. Wrap around protection, affordable cost, and better than expected quality. I may buy a second pair to keep in my portable tool box as well.

These are pretty nice actually.
Never would I think I'd be enorsing a pair of safety glasses, but now I'm old and these things matter now. Since I was next to blind in 2nd grade, I wear very strong regular lenses. Now I'm loosing my near-sightedness due to age I guess, I really don't like bifocals, so this will work for now. Seem robust, like it would take a grinder wheel and stop it if it shattered. None of us want part of an abrasive disc in our face, definately not in the eye. Sharp and clear, the curve doesn't distort, and I can just flick em down or off (put em on a little neck lanyard) and I'm back to regular mode. I've paid alot more for alot less. Buy these if you want just readers and you're workinig at dupont or 3m or any chemical plant where the safety dudes actually come around and harrass you.

Good magnification and protection, but probably with limited life expectancy
These seem to be about the best full-vision magnifying safety glasses on the market. Because they wrap around, they protect the eyes from stray particles.Unfortunately, people wear safety glasses when there are particles flying about in uncontrolled situations. That means that anything made of soft plastic will quickly get scratched up and hard to see through. Somebody could invent a better mousetrap for this problem, but as far as I can tell nobody has.

Great +2.5 diopter safety glasses - clear, comfortable, fit well, don't fog up
These are great +2.5 diopter safety glasses. I use them for soldering and buffing and such, mostly on brass instruments. They are crystal clear, comfortable, fit well, don't fog up, and after the first few uses, show no signs of damage.

Pretty close to perfect for me.
This is my third pair of these glasses over the last few years. First pair were my normal 1.5 for both near and far vision. After a couple years of lawn work, playing diy car mechanic and related, I abused those things and picked up a few scratches on the lens. They are still doable in a pinch but the scratches on the somewhat soft lens is annoying. So 2nd pair I bought in 2.0 power for near vision. Works well for that and I have taken care of them so far and only very minor scratches. So I needed a pair of the same with a tint for the summer work in Florida sun and heat. Went back to my 1.5 power, good for both near and far work, and totally dig the light grey tint they come in. Only wish the lenses came coated with the latest goop to protect against scratching even if it costs a couple bucks more. These may be polycarbonate lenses for that matter, dunno... polycarbonate has good impact resistance but is susceptible to scratching if the lens is not coated with the latest stuff. Anyway they are pretty good, and good price IMO, and the newest one has rubberized coating on the part that goes over your ear, so that makes it more comfortable an less slippy when your sweating buckets. Still need a little more wear time on the latest tinted ones, but early results are encouraging for this old dude. Be safe out there.

See your work clearly again
I wanted to use these for a while before reviewing them. I've been using these for about 7 months now and I'm going to buy a backup pair to have on hand in case these ever break. They are surprisingly scratch resistant and pretty much the only scratches I've gotten are when I've smashed my face into something (like an exhaust clamp), protecting my eyes. Regular wiping with a dirty shirt has not left noticeable scratches. My regular safety glasses would be trashed by now. Some fogging during hot/humid work, but I think all glasses would fog in those conditions. No distortion that I have noticed.I wear safety glasses at work so have worn many different brands and styles. These are comfortable, have a slip-resistant nose piece, and good eye coverage. My only change was to add a neck retainer.
