Great stocking stuffer
Such a wonderful fragrance! My daughter, who has lived in NYC for decades, but was born in California, loves receiving this natural whiff of our local Redwoods.

Soap Made With Natural Ingredients Has A Relaxing Fragrance And Provides a Mini Aromatherapy Session
Juniper Ridge Big Sur Bar Soap is a soap made with natural ingredients that has a pleasant, relaxing fragrance. The 4oz bar of soap is placed in a decorative manufacturer box that will be a wonderful addition to a homemade gift basket When met with water, the soap creates a full and frothy lather. The fragrance notes that I noticed most distinctly were sage and pine. It reminded me of the scents that you notice when walking along the short patches of trees that line parts of the coast in the early morning fog. The fragrance of the mini forests are soft yet present. When using the soap it was like having a mini aromatherapy session during my shower. It was very calming and helped me relax at the end of the night. The bubbles washed off easily leaving no trace of residue behind on my skin while the fragrance that I enjoyed so much remained softly on my skin. The soap cleansed my skin without drying it out and after several showers, I have noticed that my skin feels moisturized. It is a vegan, gluten & cruelty free product. It is a cold processed, 100% plant based product that is formulated without sulfates, dyes, parabens, preservatives, and phthalates. The soap includes clean, pronounceable, and recognizable ingredients including organic sunflower seed oil, organic coconut oil, water, organic palm oil, organic safflower seed oil, black sage essential oil, white sage essential oil, Monterey pine essential oil, sagebrush essential oil, and rosemary extract. It is Handcrafted in the USA. This is a soap with a fragrance that can be enjoyed by both men and women. I am a fan of this soap and will definitely add another order to my Amazon cart.

Doesn't rinse clean
Sierra forest smells like the woods, pine-y and earthy. Not that nasty Christmas tree smell thankfully. It's not too strong or lasting either. We don't have hard water, but I still have a hard time rinsing it off my hands. And if you don't use a soap dish, good luck getting the bar off the sink, because it dries like cement!

Nice lather, subtle scent
The media could not be loaded. The ingredients in this bar of soap look very intentional and are perfect for anyone looking for something clean and natural. The bar does lather nicely and washes off with ease in the shower. I currently have a cold so I can't smell anything, but my memory is that it has more of the woodsy/forest scent than coastal air. Not a bad thing, though my preference leans more towards crisp, fresh scents. The packaging is a nice touch for overall aesthetic; I've received bars of soap that are made of natural ingredients but wrapped in plastic so this recyclable packaging is a plus. I think for a "brand" that people haven't heard of, price might seem steep, but when you consider the quality of the ingredients and that it's from a small US-based biz, the price makes complete sense. Also, big stores like Anthro, who have a whole collection of soaps, market at around the same price so it really just depends who you want to support. If I didn't already have a whole stash of soaps to go through, I'd definitely buy more of these.

Lathers well, rinses clean, smells like pine
I chose Coastal Pine. It is described as crunchy pine needles and citrusy conifer. I’m not really familiar with those scents but I think it does smell like pine. It leans toward masculine consumers, but the scent left on my skin is neutral/unisex. The scent power is semi strong from the box but after it gets wet and airs out, the scent is reduced. It is not overwhelming or overpowering to me. It barely lingered on my skin after a wash. It might be a different experience if I left it on my body longer. It lathers well. It rinsed cleanly and easily. My skin did not feel highly moisturized but wasn’t dry either. It was handcrafted in the USA. I love the idea and vibe of this product and brand. I usually do not purchase handmade/handcrafted bar soaps since they’re expensive but if you have the budget for it, I think you’ll like it. However, I should mention that it has coconut oil which can worsen/cause acne for some skin types.-Ingredients-Organic Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Organic Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Aqua (Water), Organic Elaeis guineensis (Palm) Oil*, Sodium hydroxide**, Organic Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Pinus radiata (Monterey Pine) Essential Oil, Abies procera (Noble Fir) Essential Oil, Abies grandis (Grand Fir) Essential Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract (Natural Antioxidant)* Ethically sourced, organic palm oil with full RSPO-IP traceability**None remains after saponifying oils into soap

Clean scent with a subtle mint smell, laters well and easy to rinse off.
The scent I chose is White Sage. As you can see from my photo, the soap has a brownish color and the size of the soap is standard to me. I have used this soap for a couple of days now in our restroom, mainly to wash clean my hands. The White Sage scent smells clean to me, there is also a subtle mint type of smell in the scent as far as I can describe. The scent strength is around medium to me. Performance wise, the soap itself works fine for my purpose, it lathers well and pretty easy to rinse off. After washing, my hands don't feel over-dry neither.Overall, I think this is a good quality soap.

Palm Oil
I should have read the ingredients list more carefully. This soap bar contains Palm Oil which should be avoided.
