This gel texture is so much fun. This super light moisturizer feels fantastic and balances out oily skin. It dries down to a matte finish and leaves your face with the right amount of hydration. It seems to lightly tighten the skin, so that tells me that it has true Prickly Pear extract in it. I love this on days when my T zone is overly oily a fre times a week. You will need an SPF with this moisturizer if you are out in the summer sun. The fragrance is light, and dissipates quickly. I personally love the smell, but to be honest I wish there was a fragrance free version available as well. A lot of ppl can not tolerate fragrance, no matter how light.This is definitely a day moisturizer. It's far too light for a night cream alone. However adding a little facial oil over top of it will work as an occlusive, if you'd like the actives (squaline and prickly pear). This will help condition your skin during skin Cell turn over which happens why you sleep ( I use maracuja oil but jojoba or marula oils work fine as well.)I love this moisturizer and the texture is so much fun. It goes on feeling like water and the skin absorbs it quickly leaving you with a matte, oil absorbing finish. Perfect price point too!

This item seems to be a dupe for the Neutrogena Hydro boost. I would say that it is not as hydrating. It does have a great scent though. I found that after applying this to my face, I still had some dry spots. This could be a great product for the summer, but in the winter when there is dryness in the air I’d say choose something else. For reference I have pretty oily skin, but get dry patches here and there in the winter months. The price is right for this product and it did not irritate my skin. It feels light weight when on the skin, but like I said this is usually only desirable in summer months when dryness isn’t present for some people.

Got this as an alternative to Neutrogena hydration gel because it's so expensive. I don't really notice any profound difference in quality or effectiveness. This gel is my go-to after washing my face, in the morning, or just when I look/feel dried out in the evening. It helps plump up through hydration and bring life back to the face. It's so lightweight and fresh, I prefer it to lotion, because it doesn't stay tacky on my skin or feel oily.

Very impressedI’ve been looking for something that would hydrate my skin, without leaving it greasy, I have combination skin and it is very sensitive. It breaks out very easy with other products. This product has not caused any breakouts. This product is lightweight but still moisturizers the skin perfectly before applying makeup. This is an amazing product.

Background: oily skin, on 10mg of accutane 2 days on, 1 day offI first use a foaming cleanser, follow up w/ essence, next I use this elf (blueberry amount) moisturizer, then seal it in with an occlusive (vanicream lotion). The elf gel has weak occlusives. Petrolatum is the best to reduce TEWL in my experience. So, if you find the moisturizer not hydrating enough, ensure you're sealing in the moisturizer. That is my experience so it doesnt apply to everyone.I am pleased w/ this moisturizer as it is light and does not irritate my skin. My only complaint is the fragrance/perfume. Why do companies insist on adding this. Guess people want it. I dont think it adds value and would prefer they offer a fragrance-free version.One other plus is how affordable this item is - will repurchase.Update 9/16/24: i think this moisturizer is too light for me given that I take Accutane (even on my low dosage).12/24/24: too light for my skin even when paired w/ the vanicream cream or lotion and reducing my accutane usage. would recommend if you have no signs of dryness at all.

Not to much and not to little. I live in deep east Texas so our humidity level is usually around 85-90% year round, we have a tendency to look much younger because of the humidity here. Google it!! LolI love the fact that it’s like a gel but it just melts into my skin and that it’s inexpensive. Non greasy and super hydrating for a humid climate. Smells great too!

My favorite moisturizer all year round. The biggest thing is make sure you apply generously and then lightly tap/slap it into your skin. My gf laughs because I look like im hitting myself but it helps stop the pulling that can happen with over working the gel. Apply, spread evenly, tap it in.
