FIFA 08 (PS2)

despite the fact that its now 6 years old id still rather play this than any of the newer ones! Simply because the gameplay is the most realistic of all the fifa games

this is not a really old game and is cheap and as i needed some ps2 games i have brought a few and this was brand new i swear as their was no scratches on the disk or no marks! the case was in really good condition too! Speedy delivery even when the free delivery is chosen! Good buy for anyone that loves fifa games and anyone still playing on the old school consoles!

Football is the most popular and the most televised sport on the planet,and this is the thing even people who hate sport are still interested in it,even if they don't watch it.Now EA has been pumping sports games out since the beginning of humanity and I wouldn't be surprised if they make the world cup of tiddely-winks, or penny throwing, or if they get totaly plastered a game about throwing chickens.EA's newest game for the PS2 boast's more than 15,000 international players from any country on the planet. It's really obvious to see that they've put a lot of money in to marketing they have every league from south Korea to the American D1 (maybe americans will actually discover they play soccer(football) thanks to this game!).right i've got past the teams now to the gameplay: Fifa boasts ball phisics ,or whatever sort of stupid acronym they come up with, the players have there strength's and weaknesses and the controls are pretty easy to understand and a good thing is that if you're a Pes player and you're going over to EA you can change the controls so they suit your style.Now the bad bits: now to get this out of the way I am not a huge fan of the crazy money spin known as the Barclay's Premiership I am in fact a fan of the french league (Ligue 1) mostly 'cos I suport a french team and because there is real football and money doesn't come into the equasion. Now here's the problem: I thought that i'd play as my favorite team ,Lille OSC, you might have heard of then last season in the champions league against Man U (which was obviously a draw or a win for Lille!) I played with them against them southamption (no intro there!) and they beat me 1-0! now I just sat there for five minutes so I played three more times 2 draws and a loss. It is now apparent that EA has obviously made every English team the superhuman robotic brazilian football team(even the teams that you've never heard of) So they are trying to make Hull city or Luton town fans happy so that they can say "yes i beat Lyon 4-0!!" you understand what i'm saying, They haven't taken one look at the french league, and it's quite plain to see that the designers just phoned it in a bit and prayed like mad that they could pull it of.so finally this is the main point of Fifa 08 for the ps2 it's just to get more money and a sports game to throw out of the door and see who'll buy it.I would strongly advise to get the next-gen version as the graphics look better, the gameplay is better and the players don't look like they've OD'd on sleeping drugs and have either come from madame tussaud's or have joined insomniacs anonymous.Thankfully the game was only given as a test try and i'm now thankfull that I've got the PS3 version, now all I have to do is wait for Playstation 3!!

Simply doesn't play!!!!! And it cost me all of £1.55.. Grrrrr..

This does what it needed to do and the only reason for me writing this long review is because I need to type a min amount of wordsI would recommend using them

OK , having played most of the fifa games of the past on PC and PS2 , I was amazed on the physics of ball and game play having not played fifa 07.However some major gripes . One why why did they put the skills on the stick , BAD MOVE EA SPORTS , its simply too difficult most of the time to try and and think of the stick angles and time it right to beat the player , ITS THE WORST MOVE EVER , they belong on the shoulder. Also the AI can come back when ever it wansts , having fought for a 2-0 lead the AI simply comes back , and you cant prevent it , its played like s*** all games then wallla 2 goals in the last couple of minutes with the usual 90min goal which it seems to get 98 % of the time , one time I was winning 3-0 and it scored 3 goals to win in 90min over time , I was powerless to stop it , thats infuriating - The unstoppable AI comeback which seems to happen most games.Also the manual aiming , why why , its just too hard to see which way the player is facing when amiing , you either have to hit it straight at the keeper which saves it every time or try for a wide shot and miss everytimekeep auto aiming and let you decide which side of the goal to to shoot ,or at the very least allow auto aiming to be be turned on or off , I am limited to 1 goal average per game as its soooooooooooooo hard to score more infuriating when the AI can seemingly score at will.Oh yeah the AI fills the box up with its players . Mine are evenly spread at all times at the back to allow AI perfect freedom to run around , grrrrrrrrrrrr. You simply cant get through.Crossing never works .EA things to work on1. Maunual or auto aiming for shooting selection2. Ability to select pressing for defence3. Better crossing and players to move into crosses better - the computer intercepts everything

once again i purchased this game for my god kids for xmas,very entertaining,good idea to get another child or game "geek" to test them out,not disapointed.

Working perfectly....it's never off lol 😊
