Functionally identical to other tweezer tongs in that they grab stuff, but these genuinely do it better. The steel is thick and rigid so you don't have flexing in the middle which can limit your grabbing pressure. Personally I use these as a way of safely feeding and cleaning the tanks of my tarantulas, so my purchase was highly motivated by novelty. I'm a bartender, i got one of these for garnishing cocktails, and love them! not only look good but they are very good quality as well, strongly recommended. I wish they make them in black as well.
