Authentiques KJ. On adore !

Runners with Knee Problems - Miracle Cure!
PROs: I tore my left meniscus 9 months ago and had to stop running as I could only get a block before excruciating pain made me limp back home. My knee hurt just getting out of bed in the morning or walking around. I hadn't run for six months when I decided I would try a fancy knee brace in order to return to my favorite exercise. In order to be even a little effective, the straps on the brace had to be so tight it hurt. And my knee hurt more afterward. I returned the brace and got some XR3 Kangoo Jumps instead. The first time I used the Jumps, I was in less pain, and I noticed my knee was only bothered if I let my left toe rotate forward and down (probably unique to my meniscus tear location). Anyway, by avoiding that toe-down orientation, which isn't hard due to the curved tread on the Jumps, I was able to eliminate the pain. The jumps take a little getting used to. It is hard to stand still in them but no problem if you are moving. The boots only bounce if you jump and come down with your full body weight in one foot. They aren’t bouncy when walking, for example. The second time I ran I only felt a twinge of pain a couple of times, again with an accidental toe-down step. I noticed that my knee, instead of feeling worse after running, was actually feeling better. No more pain getting out of bed or walking around the house! The next time I ran, there was no pain at all. I had started to regain some stamina, and I WAS ABLE TO SPRINT for the first time in 10 months. I was flying! I can't recommend these weird boots enough. They have given me back my favorite exercise, improved my meniscus, restored my conditioning and improved my outlook, all for less than a trip to the doctor! The idea that my meniscus would actually get better faster using the Jumps makes sense as exercise increases fluid flow around the joint. Physical therapists recommend exercise to the point of discomfort with a minor meniscus tear. With the Jumps, you get the exercise and no discomfort! One more thing for runners, the boots are fairly heavy, maybe half as heavy as regular downhill ski boots; however, once you get going, the weight doesn't matter because it is offset by the spring. Great workout in a short period of time!CONs: 1. When booting up, some of the boot clips won't lay flat and you have to wiggle them or bang on the clip to get them down.2. After a long run, I have some sore spots around my foot. To be fair, I haven't worn heavy socks as recommended.3. People stop you and want to know what you are wearing, interrupting your run! ;-)Update: the build quality is very high. I have had nothing break or wear out after months of use. The clips not laying flat isn’t an issue: it only happens if you have the ratchet too tight. Use the release and try again. My left ankle still rubs and can be painful. I now stuff an old sock around the sides of my ankle and I can go for miles.Once you get the hang of it, the workout is intense. The boots can coax you into running faster than you might otherwise and in no time you are spent. Going up steep hills is a challenge. Going down steep hills takes some getting used to. You can walk, jog with short steps, or run with giant strides if you are young and fearless. I have never fallen in them. A couple of times my boot has slipped on a pebble.Still answering questions from people everywhere I go. I’ve turned so many people on to these boots, I should get a commission! 😉
