I built a small subwoofer enclosure to fit under the back seat of a Nissan Frontier crew cab. Originally, the box had two Skar 6.5" subwoofers and it didn't sound good. Upon recommendation from a friend who is a audio professional, I replaced one of the woofers with this passive radiator. After a little bit of stuffing and tuning, it now sounds fantastic. Moving forward, now that I know the magic of a passive radiator, I will never go back. I plan to use this again for other projects.

The Dayton Audio passive radiator resonant frequency is slightly higher than specified and the Xmax is lower. Otherwise, works as expected when additional weights are added to the cone.

I like to prototype speaker cabinets using cardboard first. I added this alongside the other driver and made it floor facing. Really brang that low-end to life without any additional speaker.

It helped produce lower bass by a couple of decibels. I would buy again for another project on two per speaker instead of one. I thought my woofer had a very low volume ability before it made noises so I lived with it for 2 years. I just now found out it was the weight adding bolt on these radiators used to add washer weights to make them stiffer or less sensitive. If you do that make you put something on threads to make it fits tighter as mine were a little loose and rattled. I just took them out and now I can turn it up with no rattling noise.
