Fantastic device for retro games new and old
This gaming device is awesome! Ergonomics 9/10 : Extremely comfortable in the hands and very light. Not super portable but can fit in larger pockets or a bag/purse easily Screen 9/10 : Perfect screen for retro games, but some newer games that have wide screen don't fit the best on here but still playable. It can go very bright or very dim. Sound 9/10 : Front facing speakers work great and you can even plug in your headphones with 3.5mm jack or usb c wireless Bluetooth headphones Buttons: 10/10: Extremely comfortable and large buttons. Most devices like these have tiny buttons and i hate it. These are fantastic Price: 10/10: At the current price of $60, this is a steal. Fun 10/10: It's just so fun to use and easy to carry around. If you take the time to install Rocknix firmware, you can even use Portmaster to install modern retro games to play that you already own. I've installed Fallen Leaf and UFO 50 so far. They're run great and are a blast to play on the go on such a small device! Setup 7/10: Mine didn't come with many games but that's to be expected. They don't own the games. Just do some googling and you'll be in business quick Love love love this device!!!

Great 6 face button layout
Aesthetically, it looks very pleasing. It reminds me of the six button Sega Genesis controller or the Sega Saturn Controller. My rating is not final as I can give and honest review after long term use. The dpad is not bad, I could easily perform quarter circle moves in fighting games. There's a decent selection of games included. My main reason to getting it is to use during long train trips. There's no analog stick, but you can use external controller, but kinda destroys the point of portability. I mainly bought to play Sega Genesis games and it perfectly fits that purpose. Hopefully, it sturdy enough to last me few years.

A fighting game lovers perfect handheld.
The rg arc-d is an absolute dream come true for fighting game lovers or those who love the Sega Saturn. The controls and button layout is pretty spot on from the Sega Saturn controller and the screen is tack sharp and visible at every angle. Please note that of you order the 128GB model, the micro SD card and screen protector are hidden underneath the plastic holding the unit. When it arrived I didn't think it was there, because I assumed the sd card would be in the unit. I was originally going to purchase an analogies pocket, but the cost and shipping times were much higher than the rg arc-d. Glad that I hot this instead. If you love fighting games or the Saturn and Genesis, I would highly recommend this unit

Not formated!
It has emulator on it but no games at all. It seemed to reformat when I first turned it on

Best way to play 2d fighters in a portable form factor
The button layout is rather close to Sega's 6 button pads. Feels very natural to use for fighting games compared to trying to cramp my hands around to use an L button or something. (Never really got used to the old milk bone style controller for that kind of thing.) Does have some oddness with SNES as its configured out of the box since two of the face buttons don't do anything. You can remap buttons, but it comes across as a hassle to me. Battery life is okay. Kinda typica for one of these things. Maybe 3-4 hours.

Get this one and not the ARC-S
I purchased both the RG ARC-S and the RG ARC-D and hands down the D is way better. The Linux OS is horrible and in my opinion it's barely usable, now the Android OS is another story it's snappy and works well. The Linux OS is very lackluster and in my opinion it's God awful (and I love my other Linux based handheld). You do have to do some configuring yourself as this is not plug and Play. I am still happy with this purchase. Would I recommend this, mmmmm..... that's hard to say. If you like messing around with your handhelds then yes otherwise look elsewhere.

Great retro handheld
Great device when it works . Had to return it because it stopped working. When it did work it might be one of the better handhelds
