The M Disc is the world's most unique, most durable and most reliable storage medium, which allows long lasting data archiving. M-DSC is the only one to have passed the strict tests of US Defence Department for long term archival. Thanks to the patented stone-like materials, the data are engraved in the recording layers. By this physical change in the medium, the stored contents can be archived for up to 1000 years. M Disc media can only be written with recorders that bear the M DISC logo, because only these droves cam generate the high laser temperature needed for this data engraving. A written M Disc can then be read with all current DVD drives.
